That's very true. It's a crap shoot with HF. My 3/8" wrench I checked after owning a few years and it was spot on. I have owned it now close to 10. The 1/4" I checked when it was brand new. The take away is all the HF torque wrenches in the office we ... more »

I'm going to plug Harbor Freight hard here. I worked at a manufacturing company where I had access to torque calibration equipment. Between the engineers in the office we checked 3X 3/8" and 1X 1/4" drive wrenches. All the 3/8" were dead nuts on across ... more »

It will be tricky if you try FDM without support material but I subbed it out. I'd really like to machine it out of Aluminum but we only have manual machines at work.

For the money Excel Notako's are hard to beat. They will fit your OEM hubs but might not your OEM rims depending on brand. You can drill the rims but a less than ideal solution. Be cautious using that torque wrench. A lot of people fool themselves into ... more »

Added reply in a thread Is MAPP gas hot enough to take dents out of a 2 stroke pipe? 2/21/2021 12:47 PM

Is the turbo torch setup better than a standard propane/mapp torch handle? That is will I get a higher temperature?

Started new thread Is MAPP gas hot enough to take dents out of a 2 stroke pipe? 2/21/2021 9:01 AM

I tried using propane and it didn't get the job done. I know MAPP is hotter but not as hot as an oxy acetylene so I'm curious if anyone has tried MAPP and how well it worked.

I kept my eyes on Craigslist and found an HVAC guy that sold me a small tank and regulator for $150. I've had it for going on 7 years now.

I bought a used 2007 rm 125 and noticed the one of the pretty new clutch plates had a quarter sized piece missing and broken in 2 other pieces. I assume the gears chewed it up since I couldn't find the missing piece. Has anyone ever seen broken plates ... more »

I tried that. Swing arm was too big for their blast cabinet. They said I could get it blasted elsewhere but he still wanted $100 to spray it so that's not going to happen. I'm looking for something off the shelf I can do at home.

You can plastic weld it. I don't think there is an adhesive known to man that will work on plastics in the polyolefin family. I searched long and hard and concluded on plastic welding.
