Seems to me Coldenhoff and Vlaanderen simply are not first priority for factory teams right now. Coldenhoff can be a number 1 for a factory team, but those teams will first focus on other options due to them being better and/or younger. And Vlaanderen simply isnt a number 1 guy for factory teams, so it doesnt surprise me his door...

Riders that are much slower have not much to add to mx2, i agree with that. Some really don't have anything for that level. But having guys like Reisulis, Garcia, van Erp, Osterhagen, Greutmann, Bruce, etc added to the lineup would add value imo. On a good day these guys for sure dont get lapped, and it adds much importance...

I'm not sure what the exact number is for the emx license but for sure this isnt cheap as well, just less costly then the mx2 license. You can buy a per race type of license, costing a couple of hundreds. So it's not that if you want to do 1 or 2 wildcards that it sets you back 1500...

Imo they made a mistake keeping Reisulis in EMX250 this season. I would have put him in Elzinga's place and have him get that full mx2 season under his belt. Maybe Zanchi is a good option for Yamaha? Have the Reisulis and Zanchi in MX2 and move up Faure in EMX250 and add one other talent for emx250.

Maybe i misunderstood from his podcast, but Lewis made it sound like KTM has a team-option that they will take, making Everts under contract for next season. And the new rider joining, is that more the support level rider like Valk or really factory team rider?

For a couple of years now the entry fee is 300 for MXGP, MX2 and EMX. You do need an international license from your federation which is something like 1250 or 1500 euro for MXGP/MX2 and less for EMX.

Yeah its more like what Lewis was saying in the podcast, if you are KTM and you have Lucas in MXGP and you have Langenfelder, de Wolf, Adamo, Sacha and Everts under contract for next year move 1 or 2 of those 5 mx2 riders up and you'd have a strong mxgp and mx2 lineup. Why sign Vlaanderen in that...

He's 34. I think the WFO 250 style might not suit him as well, as you get older, you race smarter, so the 450 class might be his best option.

Why not keep him on a 250 for outdoors as well? I mean its been a while that he's been on a 250 but he was a gp winner in mx2

It sucks that they dont race there anymore since it was such a great track, but afaik the track has been demolished for a housing project or something like that

I would imagine that for Vlaanderen back at van Venrooy KTM would have to step up for that. I mean Valk is a KTM rider so he is bringing KTM support to Venrooy this year or Venrooy is KTM supported and gets Valk assigned, however you want to word it.
