If mxsports and feld were smart they would take 4-5 supercross rounds off the schedule. Add those 4-5 rounds to the smx finals and make the smx finals more motocross then supercross or just make them at existing motocross tracks but still remain as a separate series. And then make it open to all top 20 or top 15 mxgp riders in both classes.
Mxgp riders all want to come to America and race and have a chance at making big money. The ones that don’t, do it out of fear of not getting a paycheck or fear of supercross. Both of which are completely valid.
*I mean if Luongo doesn’t want to step up out of concern for his profit margin. Fuck him. Why not feld and mxsports step up and with only minimal or zero financial investment and only a minor tweaking to the existing structure, they could pretty much guarantee a higher profit.

Yeah its more like what Lewis was saying in the podcast, if you are KTM and you have Lucas in MXGP and you have Langenfelder, de Wolf, Adamo, Sacha and Everts under contract for next year move 1 or 2 of those 5 mx2 riders up and you'd have a strong mxgp and mx2 lineup. Why sign Vlaanderen in that case?
Everts isn’t under contract (yet), there is also someone else from the class who will join the orange family in 2026.
Man, the Yamaha 250 squad is not looking good. MX2 Resilus has been well let's say very underwhelming. Yamaha need to take a swing at a better rider.
I'd be keeping an eye on Katona from the 125 class. That kid is good.
Im curious (worried) to if he will struggle as Prado. Jeffrey has been what 15 years on KTM steel chassi and has very unique character of engine, almost like a 350 he has said.
Have we seen any other rider leave after that long? Besides Cairoli

Maybe i misunderstood from his podcast, but Lewis made it sound like KTM has a team-option that they will take, making Everts under contract for next season.
And the new rider joining, is that more the support level rider like Valk or really factory team rider?
Imo they made a mistake keeping Reisulis in EMX250 this season. I would have put him in Elzinga's place and have him get that full mx2 season under his belt.
Maybe Zanchi is a good option for Yamaha? Have the Reisulis and Zanchi in MX2 and move up Faure in EMX250 and add one other talent for emx250.
If I was Yamaha I'd take a punt on McLellan and run Janis Reisulis in MX2 next year. Maybe even move Karlis back to EMX250 for a rebuilding year. Benistant and Elzinga age out after this season.
