He has been in the class for a few years, actually did quite decent when he was at WZ racing last season. Not sure how good that bike is

This year started great, but a personal sponsor didn’t pay the team he was on (apparently) and he missed a GP before Gabriel SS24 KTM picked him up. Now he has factory supported bike

I've never noticed him before but I'll be sure to follow now. Thanks for the information you gave me.

The guy sure has talent.

Awesome for Glen bagging a win and AC222 with a 7th...some of these GP regulars gotta be scratching their heads.

Edit - I thought AC got a 6th..changed it.

Glenn must have the record on most wins on different manufactures right?

Eh.... idk fellas. The age limit in EMX is just weird. Most of the riders do not have the redbull/monster/manufacturer budget to continue the ladder and go do the oversea races in the world championship just because they got older. EMX would get even cooler if national champions (most past 23 years old, for sure) could enter the races.

Up until the 2019 season, there was no maximum Age rule in EMX250. It's why you'd see blokes , at times, stepping back to EMX from MX2, and, some, never going to MX2.

So, from 2019,  the age rule was brought to 23 maximum.

In 2022, it was reduced to 22 as the maximum age. The age range for EMX250, is 14 to 22.

Age limits for EMX are reasonable, but there should be No age limit for MX2 - that's BS of the highest order.

Yikes, 2nd MX2 Moto just went off.

Hate to say it, but it seems Adamo got his moment of glory and just isn’t going to go there again.

Feeling like MXGP has lost its flair. MX2 class is basically KTM brand and 20 bikes. Doesn’t feel like it used to.

Fun fact: When Cairoli raced his first three pro seasons already (had one MX2 title by then), Lucas Coenen wasn't even born.. and now they're both running in the top 10th. Let that sink in.

He's turning 40 this year

If it wasn't for "The Hoff"(Paul loves to say that doesnt he?) vs Herlings it would have been pretty stale racing.

All those rocks don't look like fun. In the pre race interview, did Coenen have heavily padded gloves?

I thought the racing was good today , the lack of riders in mxgp and mx2 kind of sucks but i always say the 30-40 guys are lappers anyway. Also many riders injured which doesn't help the low numbers. Good to see fernandez and the hoff in the mix today.

Its golden era in my opinion was the 70s and 80s.

Nowadays, with all added costs of 4 strokes, how much prize money is it going to take fund a decent privateer up against factory riders travelling internationally ?

Wildcard local entries would help somewhat, but they won’t be competitive longer term.

Just have more decent riders in mx2? I would say 1000-1500 euro a GP would cover the direct expenses (travel, and parts consumption at the GP) and i'm sure a bunch of riders would show up in that case.

Ok, I’ll take that.  When he’s not there, he’s really not there.

Looking at moto wins, etc it doesn’t look that bad.

i enjoyed it and thought it was worth the £55, ok it was not a classic by any means, but i still had a good time and can appreciate these riders in the actual flesh

i take back what i said on a previous thread about it  full of pissheads/chavs ( this was mainly based on previous events)  ok i smelt bit of pot walking via the camp site, which was no big deal , everyone seemed well behaved and a decent bunch.i didnt see pissed up/ pot heads at all

the PA system could not been heard around the majority of the circuit

The most concerning thing i learnt and kinda of knew allready, when the nippers was racing the electric bikes , i could of walked straight pass, could of heard someone whistle across the track,i didnt hear a thing and to be frank, it was shit to watch.the sport will be well and truly fucked when these bikes hit the tracks in the future
