Jett’s going to dominate US SX/MX for at least next 5 years… Hayden might steal a win here and there but thats it (unless Jett have a injury but then there is Hunter!).

No point wasting your career in the US, (getting hurt), go get a couple MXGP championships

So no big news for Kawi? 😎

I think Vialle hasn't clicked with the US based KTM 250. Guy has crashed outdoors so much in the last couple years

Prado would have plenty of competition if he returned. Not sure Kawi would pay him to go over to mxgp.

Going home might be a part of it, I know I did after working abroad for some years.

Nope. He had some great 3 years in the US. He maybe didn't ride outdoors how we fans thought he would, but going back with two SX titles is a big win. Sad that we couldn't watch him develop on the 450 in the US if the rumors are true, I think it would have fit him, but if he doesn't feel comfortable in the US anymore, then we really can't blame him. And I don't think he has to worry about money with HRC.

Do we think Vialles plan was always to go back to europe at some point or after his pro career?

Personally, I don't think he would have done anything on a 450 that constitutes a factory 450 ride, not a bad decision to secure a 450 ride in MXGP while his stock is still hot.   He came, he saw, he conquered.  Can't blame him for going back to MXGP.

2 SX titles, he's not gonna win 250MX, he's not gonna beat Jett, may as well go back and cash in

May I ask why you think so? Trying to understand why so many people think he's going to be a bust on a 450. He's steady, consistent, doesn't ride over his head, rides with patience, has good starts. Two SX championships in three years - only three years of riding SX in his life mind you. Okay, maybe not a ton of wins, but plenty of podiums. Runner up to Deegan in 2024. Nothing indicates that he's not going to do ANYTHING in the 450 class.

I think a lot of people thought the same thing about JCoop, too, and he’s not doing half bad considering the savages in the class currently.

Maybe the guy just doesn't want to race 31 races in 37 weeks with 17 of them being 450 deathcross in a foreign country for a maybe bankrupt team on a one year deal before he was planning to move up to 450.... when he can go home and make what is likely more money on a per race basis and still do WSX or off season races or a few early SX rounds if he gets the itch and wants to work some overtime?

$1 million to race 20 races over 7 months is not a pay cut compared to making $1.5 million to race 31 races over 9 months.

Wise choice if it's true . What would he really accomplish in the states on a 450 . He'd be battling for 10th place with prado.

I am to European for this.🙃

Yes it is a paycut. He will be signed for a full year, cannot sign with another team and will make less money. All sounds like a paycut to me.

Does this mean supercross can go back to more than 9 whoops?

Yes, he got two SX titles that I think nobody including him self never thought that he would get. But with his struggles outdoors and his really good MXdN ride in France, I think he misses Europe and  maybe believe that it suits him better.

He banked in some good money in the states and I doubt that he would become a title contender in the 450 class in the US so why not go back to the GP’s if he can secure a well payed HRC ride.

One question is, will anyone in the States other than Jett be a title contender?  Maybe Deegan next year...maybe. But everyone else is racing for 2nd as long as Jett's in it.

Less money earned but less hours worked. His pay is more or less the same- 48-50k per race.

Throw in the potential for injuries and missed races… the 1M for 20 races looks favourable.

I dunno about income taxes in Europe vs US? Anyone know?

Huh, strange because I specifically remember him beating Deegan in the only SX championship they've raced against each other

The Deegan mind games take a little time to take hold, otherwise Vialle would get better after his first season, right?

I will comment😉 It is rather simple in my view “Risk Reward Analysis!” Would TV be capable of finishing in the top 5 - perhaps. However, SX is a clearly a meat grinder and (as previously noted) the US Season is long and challenging. I do believe Tom (if he does have a Honda deal) is making the best decision for his chosen life path.

Definitely sucks to lose tom. That being said he has a higher chance winning an mxgp championship over than here vs jett.

If this is true this is a trade I’m willing to make. Id love to see dewolf tear thru the 250 class here after haiden moves up.

Dude is smoking a LOT of those "savages" on a weekly basis right now. Yamaha must see J.Coop as a pretty great ROI.

Funny how he came here with as an outdoor guy and he only has SX regional titles to show for it. He and Prado picked a tough time to come here. Our series are at an all time high with badasses

This could also be the perfect time for him to come back to the GP’s.

There will probably be a generation change in the near future with most of the current 450 guys being close to their 30’s and could be close to retirement.

If both DeWolf and Coenen’s goes to the states Vialle could pretty fast become a title candidate after a year or two in the GP class if we see Herlings, Gajser and Febvre to name a few starting to retire.

You think GP riders work less days compared to SX/outdoor riders?

I hate to add this point, but fans in the US are nasty towards him. The same thing happened to Ferandes when he was winning, but getting booed and called names every weekend does not help the case.

Don't the GP guys also race national championships, pre-season warm up races, and off-season events like the Paris SX?

Not making a political statement, but taxes are MUCH higher in western Europe, especially if moving from Florida.... The company I work for has a lot of European employees and I have seen the numbers over the years.  Someone making $1m in the US could take home as much as $200k more per year than someone making $1M in Europe, depending on the country you are comparing to.  Healthcare costs in the US would be a small expense for these guys on a percent of income basis, less than $1k per month for an ACA plan (assuming they are allowed to sign up for those)
