Biggest surprise was both Lawrence brother’s riding like they never left. Disappointed in Sexton but not surprised. But also Prado.. with the hype and predictions from so many. I expected him to be battling in the 5’s. Also. Disappointed RJ never went 450’s earlier in his career.

I suspect the logic was that he wasn’t losing a lot of ground without goggles, so stay out a little longer while the field spreads out so he doesn’t lose so many positions stopping. Which seems very reasonable to me. The pit board message had him stopping on the lap he crashed.

I am a bit disappointed on Jorge's performance. Edit: On 250, not my biggest surprise, but happy JM6 finished both Motos, was he last factory supported rider on the finish order?

Easy fix, start watching 1.5 hours after the first gate drop so you can fast forward thru all the commentary, commercials and filler. I fast forward to the gate drops and once the checkered flag is thrown fast forward to the next drop. I don’t really have an interest in all the “talk” and interviews. Starting 1.5 hours after first gate drop allows you to catch up and finish in nearly real time. There’s rarely anything said in pre or post race interviews that’s “interesting” to me. I would like the 40 best guys to race 450 and for the guys on 250 to be desperate to move up, and for incentives to be aligned in a way to create that...... On one of Mathes recent shows, he said something along the lines that Chase had stopped searching for settings. Like he was inferring he wasnt happy with the bike but just taking it for what it was and "riding the damn bike," to quote RC. Its hard to believe hes not happy with the bike when he lioks so dialed. Possibly think his wife wanting to be Vlog superstar has fried his mind. He has become a sensitive dude with very little confidence in recent years - bike skill is not in question I just think its mental. Hope he pulls something together - maybe do his own deal for a year to show people he wants it bad enough. When he got a bit butthurt at the big A1 presser in 23/24 cuz nobody really asked him any questions I began to sense a slight unraveling of his mental state. Wish him all the best - it must suck...

I know the "washed up" is kind of a joke, but he was ahead of Sexton in '23 before he got that freak concussion, and was the only rider within striking distance of Jett last year. Add to his title in '21 and '25, and him keep Tomac honest in 2020, and Webb has easily been the best championship contender of the 20's.

I was thinking the same thing earlier in the year but I think he’s shown that: 1: He doesn’t ride over his head 2: Is smart/savvy I’m more worried about RJ’s wellbeing on a 450 than Tom’s to be honest. Then you have someone like Jordan Smith who’s going on his 50th year in the 250 class chasing a title and still crashes himself out every year. People said Chase lucked into his 250 titles and wasn’t ready to move up either, just saying!
