Play @ 17.23.....

Guess that answers where his mindset is after SX.

I know the "washed up" is kind of a joke, but he was ahead of Sexton in '23 before he got that freak concussion, and was the only rider within striking distance of Jett last year. Add to his title in '21 and '25, and him keep Tomac honest in 2020, and Webb has easily been the best championship contender of the 20's.

And thats why he'll only be a sx great and not an all time great like RC, Tomac, or the Ryan's. Seems like hes fine with it though. Congrats champ. I still maintain the only guy getting hurt that affected Coop's season was Jett. Coop would have beat Eli. It would have been Jett vs Coop just like last year

People are still wiping their chins after talking about MC, but for Webb it's "only" be an SX great?

MC at one point was the best motocross rider in the world. You can’t compare the two. Same with Reed.

Some past champions  in motor sports often say that one of their biggest regrets is not fully enjoying some of the past championship’s they have won.

I thought it was great. Whoever the guy was from Transworld was a dumbass for taking the very first question and immediately asking about outdoors. Everyone in the room laughed when Webb responded.

The question may have been received better had he asked it later in the press conference. But opening up with that cheese ball question right after the guy just won the more prestigious championship was pretty dumb.

It was hard for me to get real excited about the 450 class. With Hunter, Jett, Eli, Prado and KR out it was a very depleted field.

I think the people down-voting this didn’t watch the video. He literally just won the championship they’re asking him about the next series. Can you just let him enjoy it for a minute?

Seems this was kind of a tongue in cheek comment but I’m just gonna say it..

I’ll always find winning outdoor titles to be more impressive than SX titles.

I see people saying this. Eli and Jett I get. Hunter  has 2 podiums and Prado has 6 supercross races under his belt. Are they trying to insist they would be in the fight? Ken raced the majority of the season and its always the same thing. The field is always depleted at the end of the season. I would say this was ONE of the most stacked fields at the beginning of the year.

Yes. The Supercross championship is certainly more sought after than the outdoor championship. I have full respect for every outdoor champion. However, if you ask any of the riders which one they would rather win they would all choose the Supercross championship.

Spot on.  ^^^^^

Yet the "media" will continue to overlook/underrate him and the clowns on this forum will keep trashing him.

They way Coop shut him down with his response was epic.

Pretty much all the questions that get asked in those press conferences are are amateur hour anyway.

This is very true. According to the pro riders Supercross is the most important championship.

He won’t make it through the outdoor season.

Edit: for the downvotes…get back to me after the outdoor season is over.

You can’t be a great without an outdoor title. Having said that, Webb is an all timer in terms of race craft and just getting it done in supercross.

Heck, he’s only 29 years old, while Tomac  is 32. Coop could literally race for another three years if he wanted.

Prado in a conversation about a depleted field in SX???🤔🤷‍♂️🤦

First , Congrats to Cooper for the title.

I didn't think he would be the winner when the season started out. But I doubt many honestly had him picked early on either. he was the most consistent guy and  he has the #1 plate. He was a magician in Foxbough and worked through the pack without anybody noticing until the end. And he somehow was able to minimize his bad days while other racers got hurt ,crashed out, had bike failures ,etc.  I wouldn't  say he won because of a weakened field, I would say he was able to survive when many others did not.

Funny how different the response would be if Deegan gave that answer in the press conference . Disrespecting the press if Danger boy does it, Bad ass when Webb does it.  Its funny to see how people allow how they feel about somebody to impact how they react to that persons actions.

I think its great that Webb gave an honest answer, his riding outdoors over the past years has shown that he doesn't give a crap about outdoors.

MC won a big bike National title and 15 overall national wins, and won 7 SX titles  and 72 SX main wins.

Webb has 3 SX titles , 30 main wins and 1 National overall win in the big bike class.

I think Webb is an amazing racer, but its crazy to not see how much more MC did than Webb has done so far. In both SX and MX.

I myself am excited for the outdoors to start and see some of the guys back that missed a lot of the SX season.

I knew it was possible but didn’t think there was any way Webb was wining this year. Let’s see where he is after the first three nationals. I don’t feel as if he’s extremely confident outdoors by any means. Saying that if he were to get a start and put it on too early his season may turn around.

pretty sure the quote was … “i don’t care about the outdoors right now … i’m the 2025 SX Champion”

Exactly. It's not that he doesn't care about outdoors, he just won the SX championship. His only care now, is celebrating that. Next will be recovering from the celebrating. Once all that is done, probably take a breather, then outdoors will creep on his radar.

Cooper Webb has a 250 Motocross Championship. I know that the 250 Supercross Championships are looked at by some as “lesser than” because they’re regionalized. In my opinion the 250 Motocross Championship riders do the whole series and those count just as much as the 450’s in my eyes.

They do! Not only in your eyes.

A 250MX championship win earns a single digit national number.
