I can see mixed feelings about this. IMO, it is refreshing to see him being silly like this. On race day riders work their butts off to get in their own heads to build intensity, pumping themselves up, shutting out the world around them, you can see the intensity build. And here you have Jett who is on the starting line goofing off with live cameras, riders, etc. which (IMO) is cool - he can go from a goofball, and a minute later have the intensity everyone else worked their asses off to build. He is definitely a different breed...

His suspension looks like it's extremely active, bike is not planted anywhere, I am however sitting on the couch not a pro rider by any means lol.

I think it’s clear that something never clicked during his time in the states. Yes, he got two SX titles that I think nobody including him self never thought that he would get. But with his struggles outdoors and his really good MXdN ride in France, I think he misses Europe and maybe believe that it suits him better. He banked in some good money in the states and I doubt that he would become a title contender in the 450 class in the US so why not go back to the GP’s if he can secure a well payed...

Pretty much copy paste on your post. Have always been drawn to smooth riders with great technique on the bike. I like to see elevation and smart riders, not the brawlers that just ride harder and harder instead of smarter. I was a Reed fan back in the days, then Roczen, Sexton and now the Lawrence brothers all because of their riding style and making it look effortless. And being a Honda guy for about 22 years draws me towards the Honda guy’s naturally.

Realistically how many more people do we think the Coenen bros would bring in? 15-20? Not trying to shit on them, I just don’t know how many average American moto fans are gonna have their decision to attend swayed by them being there.

I think with the advent of SMX and the seemingly accelerating demise of the GP’s, the floodgates are about to open for foreign riders to U.S.

I generally follow the rider, but I've always been a Honda guy. So, there's a weird dichotomy happening while watching Tomac and Jett race. 😀

If Tomac rode a horse I’d still be rooting for him.

I never really understood rooting for brands/teams over riders... to me, it's like rooting for a corporation. I can get behind individual riders by appreciating their personalities, work ethic, comeback story, riding style, etc. But teams are hard for me to "root" for because it's just a collection of dudes that make business decisions/work on bikes, who are ultimately reporting to other people in suits in either Japan or Austria. I do have opinions on which teams are operating more effectively from time to time, e.g. I think Star Yamaha and HRC Honda both seem to be exceptional at developing...

I dunno. Vialle is another GP champion who was supposed to come over here and dominate outdoors. Hasn’t happened for him, either.
