I never understood the Christian factory 450 ride. Every single factory 450 rider came into 250s after him, they beat him easily, and moved up to 450 as he stayed down...barely remaining competitive at the 250 level. Why would anybody think he's suddenly going to step up and beat all the guys that already proved they were better than him?

And JB said he should do better because Star has that exact track they train on, lol.
The thinking with him was that he was going to mentor and train Deegan?

Yes, but not completely, he was also going to race.
The ship sunk before it even left the dock
I’m with the idea that a lot of this has to be mental, but his output so far has been really underwhelming, especially after waiting so long to see him in action
I get what you’re trying to say, but saying he was not competitive on 250s was a lie considering he got the sx title before moving up
Do you remember who he beat? Look at this field....
Well at least the vitards can't blame the bike this time.
He is exactly where he belongs. He got beat in the 250s by Nichols, which was also a weak 250 year. He had to deal with Friese in his Championshiö year. They are all still around him, the rest of the field is and was always just better than him.
From Swap Moto Live:
Am I over assuming to think this means he is retiring?
He has a two year deal
Possibly think his wife wanting to be Vlog superstar has fried his mind. He has become a sensitive dude with very little confidence in recent years - bike skill is not in question I just think its mental. Hope he pulls something together - maybe do his own deal for a year to show people he wants it bad enough. When he got a bit butthurt at the big A1 presser in 23/24 cuz nobody really asked him any questions I began to sense a slight unraveling of his mental state. Wish him all the best - it must suck ass having so many fans shit on you each week. Thing is look at Forkner - pretty similar scenario results-wise (and fans being a bit underwhelmed + vocal) but eventually the past 2 races Austin just decided to dig deep and refind himself and his speed, Christian has to make that same change but only he can do it.

That would be C- if graded?
Would love to track results in terms of spots conceded from lap 1.
Hardpack. Blitzable whoops. This was his track.
Pit Row
The talent at the top keeps getting thinner. If he is lucky all the other factory guys will end up on the couch and he can get a top 5.
IMO, the results are far from great. He got his best result last night and we're missing Jett, Hunter, Tomac, Anderson, Roczen, Barcia and Prado.
Remember his dad Mike did some very strange things to get fired from Team Yamaha in 1994.

He doesn’t want to be out there, but the wife needs the attention, so he must continue.
