Right lol! I've sworn off 450's in my advanced age and have been on a 350 for a couple years now. A friend of mine just got a '25 Blu Cru 450. Something about the Yamaha's just appeals to me so much. I told him, "I'm riding this thing next week." This was a couple weeks ago. I won't do it. I'm afraid I'll like it to much. I know it's too much motor for me but I'm really drawn to riding the Yamaha chassis and suspension

No. The choice was either they go, or no one goes. They had the choice to not go and it would have been okay. But they chose to “man up” and put forth their best effort to go across the sea and risk it.

Man AP was way off today. 4 seconds off of Jett and 3 off Fernandez. We gotta do better than that. No excuses. Jett, Hunter and Vialle ran the same schedule this year, and they killed it today.

Webb is exactly where I thought he would be Hasn’t lit the world on fire on a 450 in awhile, putting him on a 250 makes him a 7-10 guy If he finishes either Moto tomorrow in the top 10 that’ll be a victory

I won’t bash the US broadcast in this thread because I’ve done it plenty. Paul and JT are very good and I really enjoy the broadcast. One glaringly obvious difference is that as a listener, amateur rider, and fan I really appreciate it when I’m not treated as a complete dolt. It’s a pleasant change.

OP nailed it with “it was a pleasure to watch and much more relaxing”. It’s like going to see a great movie vs a TikTok algo hacking open my brain with jingles and shiny objects, and then jamming garbage into it at warp speed.

AMEN to the OP. It is the decision making and absolute shit show of left not having a clue what right is doing. We have had the same show going on 20+ years now and it sucks balls.

Yep, those of us who watch MXGP and non-US motorsports already know all this. The US broadcast does nothing to promote the sport as a sport.

HAHAHAHA so true. I like jason weigandt, but the other guys are always talking these useless stuff. I remember finding weird to watch european sports because of the broadcast (im from south america). I was used to american stuff "because of internet". Europeans always sounded more quiet and serious and focused, It took sometime for me to understand tbh...but Now that i have access to european sports, jeeez its so much better. Its focused ON THE SPORT, not on the enterteiment (can I put it that way?). I know thats "bad for business" in this modern crazy megalomaniac world, but...

Personally I felt it lost a few things compared to Peacock... Mid-Race: Wil: I spoke to Red Bull KTM Factory Racing and they told that they had a great week and worked on the time change adapting before flying to the UK. They said AP has really been focused on his riding this week and is feeling really strong coming off of SMX. They also told me that AP is focused on his diet being overseas and has brought a cooler of food to the track with him! I spoke to Aaron about this and he told me he wants...

SMX broadcast always seems to dumb it down to much and it's more about "talking points of the week" then to comment the racing and too many "I talked to" segements. They should keep that for before or after the race not during the racing.

My favorites are announcers screaming when someone is about to be passed or got passed, a rider made a small mistake and got slightly out of control. Also love the infamous “inside/outside” quip that Stew has now picked up on from RC. I am now rewatching Ironman from this year and I’ve got it muted just so I can watch it without throwing a remote. 🤦🏼‍♂️

I just finished watching the MXoN Qualifying Races and holy cow what a difference between this broadcast and the pathetic sh@tshow the US SMX broadcasts have become. Some notes: The MXoN broadcast seems to use the necessary 7 or 8 cameras on the ground that actually follow the race fully around the track. Beautiful FULL SCREEN coverage of the riders, properly framed, railing turns, hitting jumps, working the ruts, showing body positioning, suspension action, etc., and most importantly, showing the RACING!! They (thankfully) have very minimal use of their split-screen, and almost zero useless Inserts of a guy in the...

Track looks really good. Imo this was a good Saturday , everybody is healthy, weather forecast is okay , looking forward to a great day of racing tomorrow. I reckon the US team can be expected do a lot better, I think the experience of all 3 riders will be worth more tomorrow. Webb usually does well when the pressure is on . Should be good.
