100% correct. The power platform is adjustable one hp at a time. Between your power settings and regenerating braking, you should be able to find a setting you like. They are torque monsters and the power rolls on super smooth. Like any other bike change, you will still have to adapt and that takes time.

There are so many ways to fine tune feeling of electric motor power if you have access to speed controller software. Even RC cars now have different options to fine tune that my kid can run same car with modified motor but power tamed down by couple clicks in mobile app. Im sure Stark is working hard with these options for now enduro, mx and sx as well.

I haven't ridden the Varg, so I don't know what the throttle response feels like... If he has access to some help from the Stark people, they could easily tune the power delivery to his preferences. The beauty of an electric drive system is that it can be tuned to nearly any power curve and throttle input curve imaginable. It's interesting to see these bikes slowly make their way into racing.

Dieter Rudolf already put the Varg on super Enduro podium in Austria championship but that's great to see the Varg competing in a FIM sanctioned World championship with a world class rider!

Not putting in the effort when I was racing in 07-12. I'd come off the track pissed that I wasn't running with the top 3, but it was because I didn't train and put in the work I should have. My pops tried telling me but I was 16-21 so I thought I knew it all. Girls also played a roll in my "priorities" and the ones I was messing around with at the time were no good. I regret not trying 100%, especially because I feel my speed could have and should have been so much better than it...

No regrets there. I'd call being sober a huge win. You are only 27, personally I didn't hit my prime until somewhere in my mid thirties (riding/racing off-road). Get out there and get after it!

I was growing into a decent off-road racer from 16-18, but started boozing and doing drugs. I've been sober for 4 years and really grinding, but I'm 27 now and know that window is long gone. Being a lazy drunk from 2016-2019 really hurt my development and what could have been a decent shot at being a nationally ranked off-road guy. If I could go back in time...

Really enjoyed reading all this. My kid is 17, will ride a 125 till he is 18, and is starting to show signs of desire and speed. Will he make it to the Pro ranks? Unlikely, but we aren't chasing it at all costs. It'll be up to him to mature into the person who is willing to commit what it takes, and even then he might not have enough speed and skill, or an injury might end it. I think you are absolutely correct that this model isn't producing the results that people think it should, but a lot of people are making a lot of money off of it and it's very hard for well meaning parents to not get sucked into it. I would love for more pros or guys who didn't make it to keep giving their thoughts on this, but most of them are still beholden to the industry in one way or another so they have to walk a fine line. Ultimately people are trying to know the unknowable. There is no perfecting...

I think there are a lot of sports where you have a 10yr window to give it all you have and when that 10yr window starts doesn't matter a whole lot. If you blow it all on being the fastest kid on a pw the world has ever seen, don't be surprised when the kid finally hits 18 and they are burnt out mentally and physically. Its very tough as a parent of a young child to watch your kid not be the best or give the most effort at anything they do. Doesn't matter if we are talking about...
