The “support” he got from the industry this past year was cringe-worthy. It’s alarming the lack of accountability from industry folks and fans because he was fast on a dirt bike once. Simply scamming moto families and stealing their moto equipment to sell for drug money should have been enough to say “yeah, fuck this guy.” And that was just the tip of the iceberg of how little regard he has for anyone other than himself. Maybe kidnapping, child endangerment and battery are enough now for the industry bros (including some of my own friends) to write him off? Probably...

I think you are confusing concepts that you may have heard. Rule of 7s? You are probably confusing that with the Rule of 72. To double every 7 years, you’d need to average over 10% annual returns (72/7= 10.3%). But it really doesn’t matter as it’s Plessinger’s money and if he chooses to use it to honor the memory of a friend, good on him. $10K is a serious amount of money for most anyone, especially those with relatively short careers of high income, but not every decision in life is a transaction that requires a payback.
