Yeah he's been able to deliver on all his promises....WSX's original goal wasn't to extend the careers of riders careers that were coming to a close....they were going to be the premier SX series in the world with the worlds best SX riders....and we can see how that has worked out for them....he has now eaten a lot of well deserved humble pie and has had to settle to be a second rate fall series...it's kinda sad really...

Like the Sun rising in the East, sure as shit we will find you leaving a comment in every WSX thread.
We get it, you’ve never liked it and revel in the shit it has served up.
But fuck me it gets old

It looks like I'm potentially going and I'm VERY interested to observe the changes/improvements since Birmingham.

I expect some significant and noteworthy changes!

You got inside info on changes to expect?

I just know that Adam Bailey was very unhappy with how Birmingham was executed.

For that reason, I expect a smoother and more professional operation. That's the first box that I'll be looking to tick!

You may have just stumbled on to a new marketing tagline for this groundbreaking series...

"WSX. At least it's better than nothing." Woohoo

So explain to me - seriously ..what is it that those complaining about WSX don’t like. That it isnt American? The rest of the world can watch live? Or no reason? I’m curious because any racing anywhere is great!!!

WSX running their series during the summer with the intention to take riders away from the AMA and MXGP series.

You seriously think people don’t like it because it isn’t American and they don’t want anyone but Americans to see the races live? Maybe there’s some idiot that actually thinks that way but you are painting with some extremely broad strokes if you’re thinking that is the reasoning.

It potentially takes away from the competitiveness of the top level of the sport of Supercross and Pro Motocross. It hasn’t yet but that is the threat. It already sucks that the talent is divided outdoors between MXGP and Pro Motocross. I’d hate to see the same thing happen to Supercross and even further divide outdoors. If it was just wanting to be the “Champions Tour” of Supercross where it’s guys past their prime then, cool, but that isn’t the ambition.

I don't like because it was formed as revenge for Feld firing the fim.  and, they call it the world championship of Supercross, which it isn't.

Adam Bailey and his original partner showed up at A1 trying to talk teams into joining....at an AMA/Feld event.....like jackasses.  Instead of scheduling events after MXGP and MX in the US, they decided to in the summer and attempted to lure talent away from both series, but mostly US.  They also made massive claims that then laughably failed miserably and now they have cancelled races, lost all their funding and have a sideshow of a series.  I would love to see them do well and have a cool series from October to December or something like that, but they started out like they were going to be the holy grail and instead dropped the ball.

As much as I agree WMX is a shite series so far, there's nothing wrong with another series trying to lure riders.  It's called a free market economy.  A lot of Vitards constantly whinge about riders not getting enough money from Feld - well one of  the principal reasons for that is there was no competition.  As evidence, as soon as WMX shows up Feld is suddenly paying big money via the SMX series.  Feld's monopoly on supercross racing is good for no one but Feld.

This has been discussed about 100 times and the partnership was in the works and agreed upon before WSX existed and why the FIM was pushed out.....and the majority of the funds came from Peacock and had zero to do with a sideshow, wannabe series. Enticing other riders is one thing, coming to an event you were invited to and then pulling that shot is unprofessional no matter how you slice it.

"Under sell, over deliver" is not a bad motto to use for business.

Wsx has been the exact opposite.

a format that makes it difficult for top riders to come and run select events that logistics and schedules allow. A silly team structure that makes absolutely no sense. Completely over hyping it to the point of being laughable.

It has definitely been a disappointment.

And it is entirely their doing by not having a clue.

If you decide to go head to head with Microsoft you better at least know how to turn a laptop on.

I agree with the sentiment here and the overpromising is why I judged WSX against such a high criteria previously.

I feel all involved have shown humility though and admitted that, actually, they haven't delivered on a lot of things.

Now that they have repositioned their stance, I'll be judging them against a much simpler criteria this time around!

One thing I’ve noticed with wsx. At every race I’d say 75% of the riders say that there unprepared. I don’t get how but that’s what they all say lol
