US Olympians get paid $37,500 for gold, $22,500 for Silver and $15,000 for bronze. This does not include anything the may receive from sponsors and donors...It's time for the MXDN promoters to step up to the plate and pay these riders...they are not amateurs and when almost every amateur sport pays more than the MXDN, a professional race, it becomes abundantly clear that the promoters are nothing but greedy...Infront should be paying but they won't ( this has zero to do with Deegan and is long overdue). And for the asshole promoter that takes 100% of the profits and gives...

Surgery is why Webster won’t be there. The Lawrence’s have said multiple times that it isn’t just about the riders - the crew need a break from the ridiculously hectic schedule too

Should fund USA? How about the funding teams that have no money and have to fundraise all year long - Australia is lucky it has a passionate group of people here that are willing to do just that to help send our boys otherwise we couldn't afford to go.

I would consider Alex Larwood as well. He rode exceptional at Unadilla so shows he wasn't fazed by the big occasion. Jake Cannon being in France would have to be the favourite for the nod though. He's riding well, knows the tracks and terrain.

Webster, Beaton, Larwood, Connolly (pre 2026), Byron Dennis (EMX250) all showing just how good Aussie's/Kiwi are - all train or trained with Ross Beaton. There's something in the water in Victoria.

Aus team this year: Maybe Webster, Beaton, then Minear on the small bore? Crawford and Tanti are also riding awesome locally. Aus should still do fairly well, maybe top 3 if things go the right way..

Hasn’t Webster been an anchor for AUS the last two or three MXoN?

But you are asking a young 250 rider to ride a 450 at the highest level. Webster and Beaton are still our best experienced 450 riders (outside of the Lawrences). Webster deserves his spot again for sure as does Beaton. Absolutely have either Minear or Cannon on a 250.

Although as an Aussie I'm disappointed I can completely understand, not only the riders need a break but also the crew. American Honda HRC have supported the Australian MXON team for years and for that we are truly grateful. However, such an unbelievably long season in the US, year in and year out, means the crew don't get a break...

Good to see him line up there. Needs his mojo back this year so hopefully he finds it this weekend.
