Minear, Crawford, Walsh or Cannon for MX2 and probably Beaton and Webster for MX1/3 if I had to pick. Owen’s is another pick for the 250 he’s racing EMX250 over in Europe like Cannon is.
But to answer your question
MX1 Beaton
MX2 Minear (or Cannon)
MX3 Webster
I think they could be in the 3-6 range if things go right
Webster and Beaton straight up, with the decision to be made on the 250 rider between Mjnear and Cannon. Top ten would be a good result.
Walsh is a kiwi or a Brit, don’t believe he holds an Aussie passport
I'd say Minear over Cannon for the 250. He's been a bit inconsistent so far, but I think he has more top end speed. He doesn't beat Davies or Sacha, but if you catch him on the right weekend, he has the skills to keep it in front of Kitchen and maybe Farres.

Jake didnt really show his full potential in usa its a toss up between him and minear. Minear has been riding well though
Mins all the way. No factor
Minear, Beaton and Webster.
As an Aussie Im excited for the future of NZ, They are going to have a spicy team in a few years.
It might come down to who we can afford to send or at least who's cheaper.. So I won't be surprised if that helps Cannon get the nod
Didn't Star charge Anstie $50 grand to use one of their bikes last year?
Who you got other than Cole?
Location and bike are big factors for the 250 decision; Cannon’s team is based in France, where MXdN is this year, so bike, team support and familiarity aren’t a problem, whereas they may be for Minear.
Levi Townley / Jagger Townley/ Nixon Coppins and Nico Verhoven (who was the first kiwi to win a lorettas title and got 2nd in the world on a 65)
We are a long way off any of those young rippers being in the big kids class. I hope they make it but as we all know moto is extremely fickle.
Oh damn, you’re right, I was just browsing the Aus MX Standings and saw his name, knew he had speed and stood out to me, thought he came over for a race at some point?
Minnear, Webster and Beaton would be a goer. Dark horse "B Team" gets the job done for the 3peat
Crawford and Connolly with Davies would be a solid NZ team. Hopefully they can get a team going this year
Beaton, Minnear and Cannon.
And I really want to see Beaton race a US National this year. He is hauling!
Farres and Sacha are far ahead of Minear and Davies
Beaton - Minear - Webster is a very respectable team.
Pit Row
Based on Farres in the US a year or so ago I’d say probably, but Farres is way better now. Not a chance Minnear is running with Farres.
Seems like Cannon vs Minnear will be the big decision. From what I’ve seen this year Minnear has a higher ceiling but Cannon is based in Europe, with his team there as well, which is not an insignificant advantage.
How could you not put Webster in?
I could see the logic in going with Minnear and Cannon. Blooding two upcoming riders in a year where we aren’t contenders does make some sense.
If one of them can develop into a world class 250 rider we could have a lot more MXoN wins in the next 5-6 years.
Jakes biggest plus is his team is based in France.
Jakes huge negative is his starts. I'd almost bet Minear would get better stars than Jake 9/10 times.
Garcia looks a lot bigger than Jake but starts ahead of Jake a hell of a lot.
I haven’t watched much of Cannon but the times I have his starts were terrible.
Minnear’s starts have been ok. I’d have to check but I recall him in 10-15 a lot on the first lap.
But you are asking a young 250 rider to ride a 450 at the highest level. Webster and Beaton are still our best experienced 450 riders (outside of the Lawrences). Webster deserves his spot again for sure as does Beaton. Absolutely have either Minear or Cannon on a 250.
Wont happen. Neither are 450 riders
Jake has come through the field on the reg. He has awesome race fitness.
Minear the first rider picked.... webster for his loyalty......not sure on beaton or a development rider ..... cannon or tiger if fit.
I knew Farres was on fire the last couple of races, but I didn't realize just how consistent he's been all season. Minear's definitely not beating him, that was a good call.
ETA: I still think he'd be a better pick than Cannon, though
Pretty easily imo.
We know what Webster can do, but he seems to be having one of those years where each time he steps out on the track a black rabbit foot trips him up...
So given it's a house-money year with the Brohers out, and costs are to be considered, to me, the kid who is killing in EMX, on a French team, at Ernee – give him a shot.
Then you've got three great bikes, on riders all on form and reasons to go.
