My one take on this is, as a fanbase we can't continue to flame riders for showing emotion, and then get upset when they internalize that in a way that leads to them to no longer show emotion, be it in on the track, after the race or otherwise.

My interpretation of Hunter’s comment is this - real pressure comes from facing difficult life situations, not from the expectation that you are going to win a motorbike race. These guys are all in the envious position of being paid to participate in a sporting event. If Hunter has the presence of mind to know and understand the difference between that and the real life struggles that many people face, it puts him in a highly advantageous mental state vs anyone else.

Seems to me like Haiden can’t formulate his own thought and just regurgitates what he’s heard Brian or someone else say. It’s more apparent in interviews with serious questions, he seems to struggle to answer and uses a lot of “hunh hunh” laughs as filler. It’s like instead of just answering, he’s searching for the answer Brian would want him to give. I really hope to see Haiden come into his own and be his own person, but for now he comes across as trying to be the “character” Brian wants him to be as opposed to just being real...
