Eli stated in interviews after he went to Kawi that the Honda had spit him off several times without warning, implying that he had major trust issues with the chassis. It was a weird deal, because he beat Dungey by over a minute at Hangtown on his FC Honda, and dominated the first 5 motos before he crashed at Lakewood...

People talk about burning bridges, but are they really? We don’t know the intimate details, and a bit of time heals most wounds. Was always lots of burning bridge talk with Reedy and he had rides with factory support three times with Yami, three times with Suzi, and three times with Kawi. Racing head honchos change and bridges can be rebuilt.

One more thing, add some air lines in your garage with several stubs for compressed air. Also, depending on how secure you think your property is when you aren't around, I would ditch the windows into the garage. It's nice to know when you are out of town that the thieves have easy access to your garage through some windows. You also might have enough room to install commercial roll up doors for your garage doors but you will have to recess them a bit into your ceiling as you didn't leave enough space there for the roll. I had...

My advice is, prewire, prewire, prewire for ANY possible future location you might think you want speakers, cameras, motion sensors, lights, TV's, light switches, plugs, motorized window coverings, etc someday. I personally ran miles of cable through my house and several years later I'm still adding all of the above without having to rip apart any finished drywall/paint/etc. Data cable/speaker wire/RG6 etc is very cheap to run, then just coil it up, label it, and take photos with a tape measure to show where your cabling is before the insulation and drywall go on. I ran all my cabling back...

Best example of how setup matters is Jett last year (outdoors). Said himself he had to settle for a third than to go for a win because he felt shock setting was off during race. Couldn't push as he wanted. Fixed it to race 2, and won. That says something about how steep competition is.

Roczen would never have VF as a team mate. Like he wants some never was/never will be hack on the same team as him? He'd never let it happen.

Its because of the stiff competition, and sensitive bikes and how fast they can go today. If you don't have a near perfect bike, and someone else get there. You are fucked and behind. Every pro rider from Carmichael to RD has said, you can't not stand still, or you get left behind. Leaving the bike at "95%" isn't an option. It's so funny when guys with a minute slower lap times on an outdoor track, trying to tell every pro for the last 20 years "just ride the bike" 😄 The only rider in the top 5 speed not...

The tariffs impacted Muc Off from what I understand. However, I also heard they are building a facility in the US to eliminate the tariffs on their products, which is exactly what you want tariffs to do. Then, the products are available without tariffs and with more jobs here. Tariffs are a long term play. Though I agree they are a pain in the short term. I'm no expert and have no idea how it will ultimately play out.

There is so m much in this story that could be made to fit whatever narrative suits you. And as long as Jason has been racing, and as hard of schedule they keep, it would be incredibly easy to develop issues in your relationship. I'm a road warrior with travel now, and it's tough even being an empty nester who's been married for 26 years. Forget about a new marriage, young kids. OK, we know the cops got called, there were allegations made and the police decided to not pursue charges. That doesn't mean Jason (or his wife for that...

A1 2027 is a long ways away. Go do some WSX rounds halfway around the world first to rip the bandaid off. If he does what needs to be done and him and his wife get to a good spot he can absolutely keep racing if he wants to. If this is a wake up call and his rock bottom he might come back more focused and ready than he's been in years. Or we might never hear from him again. Time will tell. But it won't be the lack of opportunity that keeps him from racing.
