MXVet261 Added a reply to Can we talk about how smart O'Neal is?
10/11/2015 3:47pm Agreed, O'Neal gear is nearly indestructible. It's the only gear that my knee braces don't wear through the knees. And I love the new designs!

9/16/2015 10:33pm Did you race Unadilla MX Rewind on that '88 RM250? I think I lined up next to you one moto on my '92 RM.

8/31/2015 7:35am Clearly I've spent too much time watching the recent "Legends" race because when I saw this thread I thought it was GUY Cooper racing!

6/25/2015 1:53am Ha! Yes very true! Ironic thing is that I did better that moto after getting stuck in the gate then I did the next moto when I got a decent start....
MXVet261 Added a reply to Unadilla MX Rewind 2015
6/24/2015 3:25pm Yep, great time. My first time ever there. BTW, you do not need an AHRMA membership. You can race the support classes without any membership.

6/19/2015 11:56am The way they changed the application of AGE actually hosed me as a Vet racer as well. My Bday is July 27 and previously the Vet classes were your age as of the first day of the National. So I could always attempt to qualify as a younger age knowing I would turn that age by the National.
MXVet261 Added a reply to My dad was conned by the Wheeliboys
6/19/2015 9:04am Guys, read his entire post. His Dad did not transfer the titles into his name, which is common with dirt bikes. So he cannot go to the BMV and get the info. I also do not think they had insurance on them. I believe he and his father have learned many valuable lessons from this, such as just go eat...

MXVet261 Added a reply to 89 CR125 Water Pump Cover?
5/20/2015 4:56pm Thanks. Yes I did read that thread but did not come away feeling like I had a true answer as that thread is mostly regarding 250's and there is one post saying they have an 89 CR125 torn down and the water pump area is corroded. So, in short I'm still looking for reliable info regarding the 89 CR125.

MXVet261 Added a reply to 1983 RM 125 shock
4/29/2015 8:51am I'm pretty sure the 250/465/500 had a larger shock body and the springs will not fit the 125.
MXVet261 Added a reply to RM 125 owners : Difference between 04' - 07' models?
4/14/2015 11:45am The RM250 had KYB for a few years, not the 125. The RM125 had Showa all those years. 04 model to 05 model had many updates and then the '06/07 are basically the same. -frame slightly different -went to TPS carb -updated electrical I would suggest sticking to '04 and newer
MXVet261 Added a reply to UPDATED - 1989 CR250R Waterpump cover repair question
4/12/2015 6:44pm Your best bet is to just put it back together and weld a bunch of fins on the head and cylinder for extra cooling if needed. I've heard that's the hot setup!
