Hello all,

Just wanted to post results for Unadilla's Vintage National
I had the honor to race under the Mickey Kessler team at Unadilla this year Mickey is far right,his son to the right of me. I also honored to be part of the Team Cup Race and Can Am Challenge races. The whole team had a great weekend winning individual motos and the Team Cup.

Results where almost all 1st place finishes, a good friend (Bruce) let me race his CZ's never threw a leg over a bike this old, almost won the finial moto in 250 sportsman expert, 2nd photo is of me #9 and John Dowd #1 it was Stratton who got me on the last lap #26. Also ran Bruce's CZ I think 440cc and was able to win the 50+ expert class, a guy named Jorski gave me a good run for the overall.

PV40+ expert posted on U Tube gave Ron Lechien a good run for the money.

Going to the MX Rewind is probably the best racing weekend you can experience, racing against the pros teaming up with past pros, must say Chuck Sun is probably one of the nicest Factory stars I ever got to spend time around

That is so cool ! I'll be there next year for real with a 125 and 250 YZ. I plan on training during my summer break and at least doing the Ormstown classic which is local to me to get a feel for it. Have not ridden in 10 years. Please guys post up more pics or other of Unadilla 2015, haven't seen much here so far.

Newmann, thanks, love to run them guys they push you to run in a higher gear. Forgot to mention the guys from Ohlin's, did some great work to an old shock I had on the CR250, nothing like track side service and Swedish knowledge, KPS did some finial adjustments to balance to suspension, really the best I ever ran at this track.

Hi Tom, The mx rewind is a AHRMA Sanction event , You'll need a vintage or post vintage bike, join Ahrma ....The race at dilla is in June....They also have support races that weekend also....

Everything didnt go perfect but I had a perfect time with my wife and dog and great friend Chris. This was supposed to never happen again. The last time I got hurt was it. I was done for good. The last Sunday trip to the ER in riding gear. It took 7 years to convince myself vintage mx isnt really like real racing and I'd be ok to go riding with old men
Just a few random pics. Almost no bike pics. I just had the phone on me at times so i got what I got.

This was before Saturdays motos. It rained and soaked the soil pretty good

Yep, great time. My first time ever there.

BTW, you do not need an AHRMA membership. You can race the support classes without any membership.

I managed to be there for 3 days and didn't take one picture! First time at a AHRMA event and 24+ years since my last race. New to me 83 cr480 that I'd spent 25 minutes riding before I got there.

I rode practice and realized that I could still go MUCH faster than I thought I should be going and decided to not race. I don't have any of the "roll around at the back" DNA in my body so I though I made the right decision.

I saw COUNTLESS awesome old bikes, witnessed some great racing and met some super people.

Thanks to Newman I had that CR and got to thank him in person. Damm guy wouldn't even take all the money for his effort [building a crate and shipping the CR] I tried to give him. I have a plan though......

Be back next year and hopefully up to speed so I can get out there when the gate drops.

Ha! Yes very true! Ironic thing is that I did better that moto after getting stuck in the gate then I did the next moto when I got a decent start....

They had prizes for the longest distance, you would have surely won that, I left the dilla with 4 new sets of riding gear, a lot of prizes where handed out for performance, among other things, not to mention certificates for oils, cables , plastic, tires, bike stand, t shirts.

Then you better concentrate on one machine to build. You are going to have to finish it, dial it in and start riding. A year goes quick. I'm fortunate I trained hard for this race because I had 2 hours seat time in 7 years and I wasn't comfortable as I could have been out there. Although my KX was very easy to get comfortable on.

Talk about preping a bike Bruce Roundsville preped 8 CZ's and not one broke, we hammered them some where even raced back to back motos, quite the tuner.
