I hate paperwork at my job too. But it's my job so I do it.... Cops just blow it off or do the minimum when they feel like being lazy

mxtech1 Added a reply to Red Bud - New Larocco's Leap

6/28/2017 9:39am
Larocco's Leap isn't that big of a deal anymore, in my opinion. It's still a big jump, but when 450 guys can tip-toe through the inside line on the corner leading up to it and then easily clear it with a seat bounce it has lost it's luster. Years ago, only a handful of 125 guys could do it and...

What's that place on Red Bud Trail between Buchanan and the track where alot of people stop on the side of the road to swim in the river? Seemed like we hit that spot many years and there was always people there. Was pretty fun after a looong hot weekend at Red Bud. I'm assuming if there are any locals...

I would actually like to see this passed because I think KTM and some of the other big EU producers realize the US market is big enough to bring some assembly plants to the US. This could mean US factories with good jobs. Financially, I think it would be a pretty easy justification to build/assembly here in the US if...

I watched the entire Live stream of the Lima, OH flat track race last night on Facebook. It was actually really good. The picture quality of course wasn't super high def, and there are breaks in the stream based on delays, track prep, etc. but I kept telling myself "this is so awesome why can't MX do this" and i'm...

mxtech1 Started a new thread Mean Tweets - Moto Edition

6/23/2017 7:56am
Can we get a special Moto edition of "mean tweets"? I'm thinking if you could get 2 or 3 riders each round to volunteer for the punishment and you could take comments from the forum during the week and then record the riders reading them on press day. Could also do mechanics, owners, mangers, insiders, etc I could see a...

Half of these complaints today wouldn't even be an issue if 1) people still worked on their own bikes & 2) didn't expect the OEM to be liable for everything that fails on a race bike. Call me crazy but when something breaks you nut up and fix it yourself and consider it a cost of the hobby UNLESS you...

Are you 3D modeling your "master" test cylinders that will be used as the template for customer cylinders? I've always been curious how much 3D modeling plays into this.

What's worse is you now have this public string of conversation stating how you realize there's a problem with your current practice shall a negligence case arrive.... Now what happens if you don't form an LLC or some other form to shelter your personal assets and money from the bike repair assets and money?

Why would they worry the way BB is riding? If he can win motos and be in contention with the championship they can rest easier and let MM get right. I think they will land another big contract though before SX starts.

You read my mind exactly. I am sure they have figured out that the extra time he spends staying calm and collected is much easier to gain back over the next 30 minutes vs. if he blows his wad trying to get back up and then runs out of juice near the end of the moto.
Did a privateer 450 several years ago. Base 450F - $8000 A-Kit $9500 Motor package - $7000 Wheels & Ties - $1500 Clutch - $850 Ti - $2,500 Hard parts - ~$1500 Brake rotors & calipers - $750 I only listed the big stuff and that's already $31,600. I saw this bike sell for around $9500 1.5 years later as...
I have always felt it would be better if they just awarded points all the way through to 40th position. Not only would this really give the privateers extra motivation to dice it up for back-half racing, it would also help out the Contender who has a bad day/moto and is in salvage mode. Have most of you really though...

Those China bikes and ATVs are such POS machines that they will be a gold mine for you! Seriously, they break all the time and seem to require constant repair. Perfect business model for your repair shop IF you are sure you have a steady supply to replacement parts.
