Baja is our favourite track and is very well maintained. Medical staff there have been excellent in my experience, just such a horrible deal. My heart goes out to the parents and to the staff who work so hard to make Baja such a great facility. How many of these stories do we need to read before we do something. We need to slow things down and reduce the traffic. 20, 30+ motos on a dirt track in a single day with 40 riders on the gate to me is just lunacy with the kind of horsepower and suspension we...

RIP to the kid, and my thoughts go out to his family and friends. Also to the riders that were involved, I'm sure it's weighing on their minds also. What said above, highly doubt anything will change. This has been going on for years, at local and big races. We get the same post, people offer their condolences and then next week things go on like nothing happened. Hope I'm wrong and something comes out of it (what, I have no idea) but have my doubts.

I completely agree. I was the 3rd to last moto of the day (30+) and I ran practice and the first moto. After the first moto I knew I had no business racing and loaded up. I'm glad I did. Especially after what happened to that kid and after breaking my humerus back in January which also killed my confidence on sand tracks as well. Mysteriously, the track was maintained to a much better standard today. His Moto was late in the day Saturday. Track was hammered. I was just a couple motos before that 450B Moto. I was trackside cheering on a buddy who was running 8th at the time. Red flag came out, saw a crowd start to gather. I switched vantage points and saw something that really got to me. I saw atleast 4 people switch out compression sessions. They were still at work from on the track to into the squad. About 15-20 minutes later, the bird showed up. 10 minutes...

Thanks for all the well wishes everyone, as GREEN mentioned above i am having some real issues controlling my overall pain level, it has been a really really tough deal the last almost 2 months...so frustrating. I think (maybe) this is what the OP was trying to say. To be fair, though, you can't really judge any group of people by the way they behave on a largely unmoderated Internet forum...but yeah, moto has it's share of scum.

We always joked about "hating" him because he beat me in the title chase in 2000, but I've never had a problem with Shae. He's a good dude and I'm stoked that he seems to be doing well. In fact, as we stood on the podium in Dallas after the "I freaking won it" moment, I shook his hand and told him that if it couldn't be me with the number one plate, I was glad it was him. I was choking back tears, mind you, but I meant it.

I watched the Pala track map https://racerxonline.com/2019/05/24/fox-raceway-animated-track-map and while I knew it would not resemble a typical motocross track, I was reminded that each year I am a bit more disappointed when outdoor motocross tracks add more supercross-style obstacles at the expense of straightaways, hills, and natural terrain. I realize this has been happening for a long time, probably before I was born (1990), but if me as near 30-year old is noticing this and becoming disappointed, what are you old heads and vets thinking? I'm pretty sure he was "with" her but married, I don't think so? I just used the Google machine to see if I missed something and according to a website that writes about that reality show wannabe drama (insert take with a grain of salt) , when Kyle was caught asking one of her friends to send nudes the relationship ended. Well played Kyle!

Typical GH, I feel sorry for Lori having to work with these people. They suck and trying to sabotage another SoCal track's big moment. Knowing Tom White the way I did, I would bet he would be disgusted with this move. He loved motocross and wouldn't want his name being dragged into something that will hurt the sport. You stay classy Bud.

Mr. Info, Ok, I've read your smoke and mirrors postings. You are doing yourself a disservice by playing the spin game. Why don't you get back to a position of integrity and just admit that th GH event includes an attempt to screw with the national. The folks that run GH clearly approach life with a chip on their shoulder that clouds their judgment about how to handle things like a grownup. It wasn’t too many years ago that, after loosing the National, they approached Youthstream and got themselves a GP. Clearly this was a middle finger towards MXsports. The fact that it backfired and hardly anyone showed up to watch was poetic justice. They probably lost their asses on that deal and the fact that they approached the whole situation from such a cynical position makes me think they deserved it.

Cali can justify any shady activity these days it seems. ?This is moto politics clear as day. Should of picked another weekend to hold the charity. This weekend should of been an open practice and advertising for the following weeks benefit. That thing most are lacking now called common sense would say that Tom's charity will be limited to the amount of participants due to a national on the same day.
