7/5/2026 7:14pm First MXGP year in 2004 and first Mx2 MXGP title in 2005. Lucas and Deegan weren't even born when he got his first title and now he'll race them in the 450 class, let that sink in.

6/14/2026 7:09pm You qualified fair and square. Deserved to be there. And as you say, it was a stacked field in those days.

6/14/2026 7:06pm Depends what era and what country ;-). I did back in the ‘80’s/90’s era in England. Reflecting back I’m pretty proud of that as at the time half the national field in the UK were also GP point scorers - this was during the Dave Thorpe 3 World titles era. I do remember the first 250 national I qualified at, sitting on the gate before the first moto looking up & down the line and realizing a handful of those guys had won at least one GP and half the field were GP runners and thinking to myself “well I...

6/14/2026 7:03pm My dream was always to race one national, didn’t care if I got last place. I was an A class rider, had won local races and always wanted to line up with the best in the business, didn’t have any expectations, just wanted the experience. One of my closest mates who was a very similar speed to me qualified in one of the last spots for a national, I came to watch the race, he got a mid pack start, got dropped and lapped really quick and more than once. He got something like 38-36, when he came in after...

6/6/2026 7:24pm https://www.vitalmx.com/features/post-race-interviews-2026-fox-raceway Lewis, I’m not trying to glaze you here, but kudos for always following up on a riders comment and asking for further details or elaboration. The riders can always say no, (say like Hunter is always known to do) but for example in the interviews above, if you don’t ask Beaumer what he changed on the start, he wouldn’t tell us he changed his launch rpm. Same with Hammaker, if you don’t ask him to elaborate regarding what he wants to improve with the suspension, we don’t get to hear him speak on the bike swapping side to side...

6/6/2026 7:19pm My best friend is a 777 captain, rides mostly road bikes but is now taking up off roading after watching me race enduro. Know of a few others into it too, hopefully all meeting up in Portugal for a week's riding soon.

12/4/2025 1:02pm But we get healthcare in the UK already , what this means he can jump the queue to get seen, rather than going on a waiting list for non urgent care. If i crash , and break my arm, i go to the ER and get seen and fixed for £0.

12/4/2025 1:02pm As it stands I've officially told them that I have plans in place for next year on a personal level that I'm not willing to compromise on for the job. I won't hear back until next week but looks like I'm going to get a payrise in my current role but plateau out here for a while. I chased the money for three years a while ago and was pretty miserable so I'd rather just ride, race and have a great time for a while whilst I've got no kids or family to support.

12/4/2025 8:26am I’m a small business owner. My income is directly affected by my employees showing up and doing their job. That being said. They do not live to work and they do not survive to create income for my business. They work to enjoy their life and it would be unfair of me to ask them to do less of what they enjoy for the sake of my business.

12/4/2025 7:55am Honestly, that was a well researched and written article. I was not expecting to see drawings of ruts and whoops in a mainstream media article about motocross. Obviously the subject matter is bleak but less of a shock to us. I've said for years if actual data was compiled on both fatal injuries and severe life changing injuries (spine, neck, etc) people would open their eyes but I think our sport is just used to seeing it so often at this point which is sad.

12/4/2025 7:50am You sound just like me ha ha. I've had 12 bikes over the last 3 years, owning 2 or 3 at a time and comparing trying to find my perfect bike. I don't like to call it wasting money I call it expensive learning 🤣 What I've learnt is that all 450's are basically the same, and you'll be fastest on the bike you stick with and get familiar with. If you want something different and actually fun get a 350 or a 2 stroke. I did both and just added a 25 250sx to join my 350. Also just...

12/4/2025 7:48am The best bike for the likes of Sexton Webb and Tomac isn't necessarily the best bike for mortals. A deficiency for them may very well be a benefit for the rest. Unless of course you pound through 10 whoops at 50mph, at which point kindly disregard anything I say.

12/4/2025 7:43am UK guy here too, ask work to put the contract in writing as you want to mull it over, call around a few decent solicitors. Most will offer a 1 HR face to face verbal consultation, you need an employment specialist. Costs are roughly in the £150 area. Used this type of service many times for different things. It's when...

12/4/2025 7:32am Haha it's a commitment! I don't work wednesdays or weekends so in summer with riding after work I ride between 3 to 6 days a week but in winter it's 2 or 3 max. Winter temperatures tend to only drop below freezing for a few days over the whole winter so generally winter riding is just wet and cold but doable, when we do get snow we can normally still manage a trail ride as it doesn't get crazy thick. I'm around 80 hours on my exc 250 (2 stroke not the F) and 110 house on my 300, plus...

12/4/2025 7:30am Holy shit. 300 hrs in a year! like on the hour meter? Thats got to be riding every other day about. 3-4 times a week for sure for the entire year. Do you get to ride year round in Wales? That's unbelievable that you can maintain that and still have a job period! Kudos!

12/4/2025 7:29am On one hand I understand where they are coming from.. but that is a hard no from me. Employers in the States don't ask for your after hour hobbies. Did the company also ask you to not have any alcohol or to cut out unhealthy foods and definitely do not lift heavy weights in the gym in fear of pulled muscles? I'm either riding my bikes or the company insurance will be paying for a psychiatrist and therapy lol. But anyways, just say yes you will take it easy, get the raise, and then keep living your life the way...

12/4/2025 7:29am But if you were riding a street bike they would probably be A-Okay with that. Stuff like that really pisses me off - it's over reach. When I was in the Army people would sometimes say I shouldn't race, yet at the same time you can have a 21 year old come home from a deployment and buy a CBR 900, complete a two day rider instruction course somehow that's okay. Needless to say, I kept racing. Maybe just don't put your footage on YouTube haha.
