Usually KTM puts an orange frame on the last year of the out-going model. '22 should be minor updates with an orange frame (also confirmed by the 21.5 FE being mildly updated). I would think that the 22.5 FE would be the first of the new bike. I could be wrong but that's how KTM has done it for the past three models.

Do you own one? Most of what you wrote is a load of shit. Motors killer after a remap that a ton of people do anyway. I'm a vet riding in map 3 and in no way do I feel it's too much. No more expensive than any other brand unless it's a shit dealer over charging for a WE. If that's the case, they're likely over charging for any brand. Interesting, I have the opposite opinion. Ridden a bunch of small bore YZ's, KTM's, and CR's. The YZ is the slowest turning of the bunch IMO. Initial turn in and keeping good drive through nuts is noticeably better on the KTM for me. The YZ feels a little heavier and sluggish. It is still an amazing bike and very competitive, but the KTM is better in almost every aspect, including handling.

No way in my experience which was very close to what Zesiger stated. I have an old thread on here that documents the weight lost for each part when I built a 218 pound 2012 CRF450. Every bolt, axle, pivot was replaced with titanium. The savings from the bolts was only 2.05 lbs. The front axle only saved me 0.22lbs. Swing arm pivot was .18lbs. Rear axle was also very disappointing. The HRC titanium foot pegs saved me .42 pounds. The biggest savings (and the cheapest) was the FMF titanium exhaust (3.12lbs!!!!), Think seat foam was 0.86 lbs saved but...

The KTM and new 2021 Honda CRF450R couldn’t be more different. I own a 19.5 KTM 450 FE. I just bought a 2021 CRF450R. Not a Works Edish, just std. To sum up my opinion without going into a ton of detail the Honda is more of a young guy bike, the KTM is a Cadillac. Honda more accurate, KTM more forgiving. Honda engine more zippy, KTM more grunty, both making plenty of power. Value wise comparing standard bikes to the FE or WE, simple math says the FE price difference is more reasonable.
