Your all-time favorite color? All-time favorite bike? Not your favorite current color necessarily.

For me it has to be green since as an impressionable youth I obsessed about the 1982 KX80 for almost a year before finally getting it. Must have read the Dirt Bike Magazine test on it 100 times. Still is green even though I have orange 450's at the moment. Had some recent KX450's though and still love them.

Coolest looking bikes ever for me were probably the 1982 YZ's though. My buddy had the 1982 YZ80 but the YZ250 at the dealership was my dream bike. Something about the Hannah days of the late 70's stuck out to me and loved the look of those bikes as an evolution of the moto at the time. 1984 CR500 honorable mention.

Probably magenta/fuchsia, it’s between pink and purple. I always thought it would be cool to anodize the hubs etc. in that color. I love the 90s bikes like the 92 yz, 92 rm, and most of the 90s kx’s. I think magenta trim goes well with green, blue, yellow, or white plastics. also nobody is really rocking it? Barcia had some trick purple JGR stuff in the past but I struggle to think of others. Cyan blue is another favorite of mine, like the Peak Honda Cr125s.

Reflex blue. The first blue Yamahas were OK, but the second year, ('98,) when that see-through reflex blue color came out... Ohhhhhhhh....

Plus, I feel like Yamaha riders can wear the largest selection of riding gear to compliment the color. Blue, red, yellow, white, black, gray, pink.... even green look good on a YZ rider. On most other bikes you are limited to a few colors.

I love the bright colors of the late 80s and early 90s. Lime green probably definitely my fav color, but usually only when there is blue mixed in. I didn't care for the black/green look of the 70s KX's.

Second to that, I loved the 89 RM colors and look

More recently I am very into the new Gas Gas look as they appear on showroom floors

I know we covered it in another thread a couple weeks ago, but the 80's were so cool in how different the bikes looked from brand-to-brand. Now, the visual differences between the different brands are negligible.

I'm talking about everything BUT the color. OP's post with the Uni-Link and fender sideplate on the Kawasaki made me think of it.

Green

Favorite bike was the one that destroyed my ankle. 2016 KX450F

I had a 1982 KX80 for a short while as a kid. The ugly one with the number plate rear fender at the top of this thread. Was going through puberty and outgrew it super quick. Traded it for a tricked out Race Inc. bmx bicycle.

Once landing my first real job I wanted a 1991 KX125 so badly but opted for a killer deal on a 1991 CR250.

After a string of many Honda’s, 2 yamahas, and 2 Suzuki’s I bought a 2009 KX450F then had an 11, a 13, and the last the 16

Now I am back to my first big bike brand and size. Honda CR 125

If Kawi had a modern 125 I would have one. Wouldn’t mind getting my hands on one of the custom aluminum framed PC ones floating around.

The 250 was a huge leap forward for modern dirt bikes

For me, it's a no-brainer...

First real MX bike I owned. I lusted after my buddy's '82 YZ80 because it was water cooled, but truth-be-told, the RM was probably a better bike.

I had an 87 CR 125. That motor could sing. Back then, if you weren’t riding a Honda, you were racing for second place lol.
