A lot of people in this thread have it figured out already, but I'll throw in a few things: There is absolutely a break-in period for the full bike. Everything seats in, high spots are worn away from moving parts, bushings wear a bit, seals break in, etc., all over the bike. That's A LOT of parts and the rather small contribution of each part adds up quick to a significant difference in feel. 1. They can't pay him 2. The bike isn't SX ready and it's not even competitive in MXGP... 3. He'll be 30 next May, so his window is closing 4. He made enough money to pick a better bike and focus on results rather than a paycheck 5. He'll be more competitive on a "privateer" effort like MotoConcepts or HEP than on a Beta To sum it up, they can't pay him and can't give him a competitive bike, why would he sign there? Might as well retire if that's the only option...

Just wrapped up the show and i don't understand what all the fuss is about. Thats just DV. He's one of the few people that, when i disagree with him, i still like to hear his point of view. First ride tonight on the 23. The nice thing is I got to compare the bike against my fully mod 22 Husky 350 with a big bore. The 23 has much better throttle response and bottom end power. Even the mid might be a good bit stronger. I also have a 450 and to me this is much closer to the 450 then I expected. All and all very happy with the bike.

My understanding is Twin Air will have air box wash covers in about 2-weeks (no idea about part number for cover from KTM yet - just straight from Twin Air)....
