I have a Beta 450RX and it's not slow, definitely in line with other 450's I've owned and ridden. The power delivery on the Beta is nice though, less spinning and less tiring than the Yamaha I was riding before it. If you want to go with the HP charts, the Beta is ahead of Honda, Kawasaki, and Suzuki. Here's the 2024 peak HP from MXA and Keefer says the Beta peaks at 57.8 hp.

This.^^^ HD was amazing last night, his aggression, speed and control were by far the best in his class. Great ride, no question. It’d probably be better racing to watch if HD didn’t take out his closest competitor in the second race of the season. HD would still have won by a mile tho.. During the incredibly competitive 450 main last night I saw at least a dozen passes that could have been a takedown, but the riders had enough character and respect for each other that they raced side by side instead of punting their rivals. I’m bummed to hear that the suspension is indeed lower on the Husky. I have a deposit on one because my local dealer wasn’t getting any more KTMs and I figured the Husky was exactly the same, as in previous years. Probably not a huge deal at my level, but at 6’2 I’d rather the taller bike.

Shout out for the Williams Motorwerx airbox kit. It uses a larger surface area '17-'18 Honda CRF 250 air filter and a tradition style cage that screws in, which I really like. Installs similar to the Twin Air Powerflow kit as you have to change the base plate. Excellent customer service too. Jesse has been very helpful with answering any questions I have. I'm pretty sure this system is what the Partzilla Kawasaki and the Canadian Kawasaki Race Team are using. I am going to trim the airbox open while I have it apart. Will report back with some seat...

I appreciate getting to hear “the naked truth” from Chase’s perspective. The raw sense of humor between him & Phillip is also sorta hilarious & fresh, too. His honesty about the collision with Coop is the kinda stiff we need to hear, too. You can tell Chase respects him (Cooper Webb) & he seems bummed to have a beef with him. His respect for his competition, their skill & race-craft needs to be heard. Excellent stuff.

According to the parts diagrams the forks and shock are different PNs between KTM and Husky as is the linkage. The Husky model page shows the same rear suspension travel as the standard model so it certainly looks like the Husky FE does have lowered suspension.

That is interesting. I was under the assumption that the FE's all got the standard length suspension. Maybe I jumped the gun. Either way its the bike I have for the next 2 years. Still have the Yamaha sitting next to it to compare come spring.
