3/21/2024 11:50am It looks like an electrical problem, Jason, and what I mean by that is there are electrical components on a motorcycle and one of them might have failed.

Gravel Liked a reply to forum topic Should Last Place Score a Point?
3/20/2024 2:06pm I’m in the minority here, getting into a main is already a reward and I’m tired of seeing guys just rolling around like a trail rider during mains. Pay points to the top 20 only, black flag riders who go 2 laps down and get rid of the steel starting grates. And do something substantial about course cutting, I’m sick of seeing riders bypassing entire sections. Now get off my lawn!

3/20/2024 1:59pm I know it would never happen, but I like the points structure used in F1. Significant difference in points between places. IE; 1st = 25, 2nd = 18, 3rd = 15. With a larger spread in points it makes it more compelling to race for a given position. You can't relax on an off day and ride to a comfortable pace with the thought a 2nd or 3rd is "good enough". For the original question. With the current scoring system, yes everyone in the main event should get a point.

3/19/2024 8:15am Well I ended up buying it. Guy that had it didn't have a clue on how to work on them but was upfront with me. Rougher than what I had imagined but I can clean it up. Motor and ride wise it's fine. It needs some TLC and some parts but I'll end up going through it and making it clean and right. First pictures are when I got it home. 2nd is after just power washing it and it cleaned up quite well.

3/13/2024 12:08pm Just the pure thrill of twisting a throttle and going. Made my soul smile the first ride and still does to this day. I got into riding to trail ride with friends. But then my incorrigible competitiveness got involved, and now I don't ride for fun: all I do is train and compete. I'm obsessed with accomplishing certain competitive goals...

3/13/2024 11:48am This is a great topic, and one I've thought about as I get older (51) and continue to enjoy this sport. When I break it down, for me motocross is actually several different hobbies all under the same banner: 1) Riding- Working on technique, watching the kids and trying to continue to evolve my style. Like some of you have mentioned, I seem to get more satisfaction from getting a turn right than doing jumps nowadays. I don't love the jumps any less though but my risk versus reward meter is definitely recalibrating as I age. And on those days...

3/6/2024 1:43pm I think a lot of the replies are trying to twist the original post around. I think the original point is valid. Aside from Chase, most of the top contenders are towards the end of their career. Jett is the only one currently trending upwards. So next season or perhaps the one after, we could be in for a window where Jett is going to go on quite a run. Of course a lot can happen but it's just a reasonable prediction, based on what we know and see. If it were to happen, I'm not sure how it will...

2/7/2024 9:37am You can be on the balls of your feet and still in wrong(old) position/form. Good pics above in thread of Ryno and the kid on a kawi. The kid for sure has no 'hips unlocked', it's the typical position I go into when I get scared/insecure. So confident that I'm on the balls of my feet, problem is rest of my body in wrong position. I still claim Sexton and the likes ride very differently from the guys 15 years earlier. It's small details but they are there for sure and it's those details Ryno preach.

2/2/2024 1:24pm Pro racers have about 30-32 chances a year to justify there existence a year. To perform at maximum, they train like olympic athletes, risking life altering injury daily. Most have little education, no social life outside racing circles, and perform thousands of miles from home to tens of thousands of strangers in billion dollar stadiums live, and broadcast performances internationally to millions. Most represent multi-billion dollar international corporations, yet how they perform can be and is critiqued publicly by anyone who bought the brand they ride who got a lemon. They must travel weekly, exposed to lord knows what sickness...

2/2/2024 1:22pm This might be common knowledge so don't blast me if so. But, Stefan the found of CAKE is also the found of POC. POC stands for piece of cake and when it sold Stefan started the brand CAKE. Useless information but I thought that was cool because I never knew what POC stood for. Any who, back to work.

2/1/2024 8:26am Social media. Post small clips of him riding and racing and tag companies that make products he is currently using. Work on getting his follow count up on IG. You can spend $20 on Instagram and they will distribute a sponsored post for 3 days to people who follow the same people he follows. It’s a great way to boost followers which is a metric a potential sponsor will look at when deciding to lend support to his program.
