The fact that they haven’t publicly announced the injury is what makes me think they’re still not sure if he’s going to line up. If they were 100% sure he was going to race Detroit, Brian and Haiden could use the injury as like a marketing thing for their YouTube channel like they do with everything else. Their vlog thumbnail would be like a picture of Brian’s face looking shocked/surprised and Haiden’s face in pain with the caption, “Racing Detroit with a broken wrist!”

The responses in this thread feel like they prove the sports reaching a lot more people now. 20 years ago we could pretty much be certain of the similar mindsets and personalities of other moto guys. In this thread today you guys are all over the spectrum.

I think having Lawrence and Deegan is going to provide a major push for the sport. Both are young and seem cool/fun, the sport was booming the last time we had a champion that fit the "guys want to be him, girls want to be with him" mold, and that was MC. Since MC, we haven't had a champion with a ton of personality, just dudes that went fast on their motorcycles and thanked their sponsors.

Another thing preventing this sport from taking another step forward is the bush league “good ol’ boys” club that lets the teams control what is said and reported on. The teams need the media far more than the media needs the teams…time they start acting like it.

I am sure this is somewhere on this forum, but I am a huge fan of a guy that can put his ego aside and try Supercross. Damn that was impressive. Zero hype compared to what we've seen from Ryder D, Deegan, Vohland. But just comes out firing. Never looked uncomfortable with the speed. But might need to work on fitness a little.
