Anyone want to go to the races in my place next week?

I once emailed you some questions about grip glue and you sent me some free grip glue, donuts, and a set of grips. I only bought Pro Taper after that. Still is the best customer service story I’ve ever had. I switched to Pro Taper in 2020 because their Fat Bar has a better feel. And now after reading all this, I’ll stick with Renthal for good.

Been waiting for this thread since I left Pro Taper in 2018. I was the only customer service representative for the company at that time. It was owned by MAG then (they also owned Renthal during that time period but sold back to Rosenthal, more on that later). It was by far the best job I’ve ever had. Helping riders/parents of riders find the right bar they needed gave me so much fulfillment and I finally felt like I found my purpose. 100% correct. It was that one section that hurt Eli badly. Everywhere else Eli just as fast. What we saw was the daring of youth vs the 31-year-old family man who does not want to get hurt. I am actually glad Eli didn't do the quad since he didn't want to.

Jett was willing to send that one rhythm, Eli wasn't. That was the big difference tonight. Definitely a hell of a ride by Jett - nobody has been able to beat Eli at Daytona when he starts up front and keeps it on two wheels. While he didn't win, this race actually made me even more confident that Eli ain't done yet. His speed looks to be back and he clearly still thinks of himself as the man to beat. I think he'll be able to get a few wins, especially with his starts improving.

It became about the "Wallet biker" and lifestyle.....not the guy doing custom work/custom builds wrenching on his own shit. Harley is going after the young blood now....but it's not working and they are struggling (FWIW - I owned a Harley and loved it, loved working on it and customizing it) I can see the same thing happening with e-bikes....they're going after a younger segment which IMO won't have the sustainability. Knock on wood, but have had great luck with ours. I bought ours in October of 22, we only have 35 hours or so. From the factory it was kinda slow, but I didn’t have any “issues”. Just recently got a reflash, with a PC exhaust, along with a few other things. It took a while to get it figured out, but now the bike is absolutely pulling. My son is a middle pack B rider and seems to be super happy with it now.

Without that crash he might’ve embarrassed the field, his speed was so next level. Obviously we’ll never know but something tells me that’s not the last time we’ll see that kind of performance this season

I rode mine twice this weekend at the local track. The first day was fine with no issues. The second day on my fourth lap, upon landing from a small tabletop, the engine starts cutting out. I pulled over to side of the track and looked the bike over for anything obvious. When trying to restart the bike, it would not idle. I had to give it a decent amount of gas to keep it running. I was barely able to get back to the pits. I let it cool down and tried restarting, but it still had the same...

It’s funny how the YZ is quickly becoming a better and better deal. Pretty soon, it will be lighter and faster than the Austrians. Kind of like the ‘23 GG was (and the Husky KTM used to be).

Yes they do, roadracers have been wearing them for years. And walking away from crashes of over 100mph because they crash into the kitty litter. Supercross needs a Kenny Roberts type advocate.

That's what I said to my wife when she heard me freaking out upstairs, "I have a pit in my stomach like Kenny in 2017". I have not always been the biggest fan of Austin, but he did seem to be maturing and was looking to be his best self this season. I sincerely hope he makes a full recovery.
