3/16/2017 11:31am I'm sure he got paid something, and he deserved to. He had invested in a rider who was leaving his team early.
Some of those races were just epic. Baggett would start around 10th-15th, and slowly inch forward over the first 15-20 minutes, then drop the hammer and be running 2-3 seconds a lap faster than the guys running in 1st-5th. He would reel them in like dead fish! Shit was epic to watch. It seemed like his wrist injury really slowed...
