So with Baggett seeming to have found his base and is building some strong results as of late, is it feasible that he gets pulled to Red Bull KTM next year? Say, if Canard calls it a career? I just see Blake killing it in outdoors and challenging for wins and I can't see the factory team wanting to being beat by their expansion team. Thoughts?

It could be a possibility; his SX skills are steadily improving and he is (IMO) a legit top five guy outdoors. He has gained an extra gear this year and has pleasantly suprised a lot of people with his speed, including myself.

I'm pretty sure he's got an exclusive contract with BBMX

Its so cool to see guys have great success, fall back a bit, then start to climb the ladder again.
A real testament to just how hard it is to stay a top 5 guy.
KTM made a great call picking him up.

Why would he move when the team he is on is a factory team?

I've never met him, but he seems like a good guy. Works hard, invests in himself and uses his brain it's good to see him doing well along with BBMX.

And could be a dominant winner if he stays healthy and keeps banking more confidence... People quickly forgot how dominant he was in the 250s, absolutely demoralizing guys like k roc...

His late moto charges were legendary. I remembet him on his pc bike at spring creek at the end of the moto he threw his bike in a corner for a block pass harder and faster than anyone id ever seen.

Yeah, you have to admire a guy who earns a huge championship bonus, and turns around and pours it all back into his career. Instead of a $100,000 sports car, he buys a D9 and creates what has to be the highest "mountain" in the state of Florida.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what he does outdoors this year.

Man he could've challenged Tomac for the win maybe? He was wayyyyyy back. Even farther then Dungey and he got 7th. That's impressive

It's been a while since we've had a El Chupacabra sighting. Hoping we see it again. He was a goddamned beast on a 250

I've seen firsthand the extreme hard work that goes into Blake's program. You're going to be seeing some really impressive things from the El Chupacabra this outdoor season.

I'll admit, I was not a baggett fan when he was on pro circuit. I loved watching him ride, but I found him pretty boring. Holy shit was I wrong. All the interviews I've seen from him since he moved up have made me a pretty big fan. He seems like he's pretty damn funny.

I am the exact same. I just watched the RacerX Weigant tour of the ranch and he was a funny dude! Definitely a fan and I am cheering for him.

Hope he stays healthy for mx. Has been a steady improvement since his rookie 450 season, but injuries always set him back. Plenty capable of podiums this summer

Yep.

Also - I think it looks good for an OEM to have satellite team win - appears the bike is a good.

That's a bold statement. I feel that proof is required.

I second this, we need some hard evidence to support this statement. Better keep her away from "D*%# Pic" Davalos if so.

Didn't BB once admit to dumping the clutch whilst running over Adam Cianciarulo's back as an act of revenge?

If anyone hasn't seen the latest video interview at BB4MX compound on Racer X, go do it now. How can you not root for a guy as humble and down to earth as Blake. He's a National Champion. And rather than roll around in a Lambo until his money ran out, he took a ride for little money to get on a good bike. Then he invested in property and equipment to hone his craft. And he doesn't go home to a sweet house with a manicured lawn after riding each day either, he lives in a trailer in his shop, next to his track. I hope it all comes together for him this summer, what a great story that would be.

How do you know he on little money? It's easy to work out who would be on big money and who would be on less. He would of dumped $2million into that ranch already and obviously knows he will make that back that's why he is investing in it

It's well known that Blake signed early with his new team for less, because he could see that in the game of musical chairs they play every year, there were a lot less chairs available. A ride on the 'Factory' team would pay more, but it was a gamble as to who would get the spot.
