I thought Honda was the first? Kawi was at least the last to competitively race a 2-stroke with James. *Even though MC raced a few SX races for fun on one.

and at the other end of the displacement spectrum, Larry Roeseler's 1989 KX80 in KX125 frame.. he won ISDE gold medals on this machine

He said they did it because they needed to compete in an additional class other than 4-stroke, but they ended up having a ton of fun on the little/big bikes. Man, what bummer to end this season. Even though I was rooting for Kenny and Hunter from the beginning, he was clearly the guy to beat in the first half of the season. I truly believe he was sick or dealing with an injury. There is no way he rides like he did and then just randomly doesn't even fight for podiums or even top 5 finishes anymore. Looked great last weekend and in qualifying this weekend until the crash. I hope he recovers well and gels with the KTM outdoors and we see him fighting for more wins than...

5/2/2026 9:42pm So instead of taking the safe route, he should have flipped a U-turn in the whoops section so he could cross the finish line properly. This is so dumb! If they enforce this rule they need to make it a rule for everywhere else around the track…. If you leave the track, the rider must re-enter where he/she left.

The rule is weird because it only applies to the last lap. Which is bizarre because that’s most likely when someone would get blasted off the track right before the finish line.

He gained no advantage. He literally lost a position. Trying to stay on the track was dangerous and so was circling back to cross. Minear did the right thing and this is a dumbass rule.
