Nobody gets it until James Stewart fails to earn 25 points in a season. He's still got the rest of Supercross and the whole Outdoor season to go. Even if he fails to earn the 25 points the AMA will probably make the # 7 unavailable for 5 years like they did with the # 4 when Carmichael retired.

Yeah he'll probably lose the number in 18 but AMA may hold it for a few years. On Pulp they were saying Cooper Webb was asking if it could be "reserved" since it may not be avail. for a few years.

Why would Cooper Webb want the #7 when he already has the #2 for a career number?

I do not see the #7 getting held by the AMA, they did not hold the #2 . RC was the GOAT, the 2 and 7 were not at that level.

Can Amart beat Jmart 2017 MX? If so maybe he will want it? AC could have an outside shot. Maybe he would want 8 or 9? But the 6 & 7 would look good for the martins.

And why would they hold #7 for five years? Because he "did it for the fans"? Whistling

I'm thinking James will be quickly erased after his not so graceful exit.

It won't be too hard to get 25 points in May.

Malcom should take the #13 next. MS13, he could throw cool Josh Grant style gang signs on the podium and take the sport to new levels. Laughing

They didnt put a hold on 2 so they wont put a hold on 7.
In the future at some point it would look good on ac or forkner if they could earn it mo.

Bingo, think what you might but there won't be any special AMA conditions to make the # 7 unavailable for a few years. The 4 is in a totally and probably not to be been again field in that regard.

Yeah, I think he said he'd want 92 even if he won the outdoor title and earned a single digit.

Cant he claim an injury and hold on to the number for another year?
Maybe just earn the points. Easy fix.
