10/17/2018 8:48am What I want to know is what the fuck Marshal Weltin is going to do. He made a mid-season jump to F&H Kawasaki, signs a deal for EMX250 in 2019 because of the MX2 age limit, and now he isn't eligible for that anymore too.

Jordi once forgot to feed Paulin’s cat while he was on vacation. Something Marvin would never do.

Well, he didn't quit the Team, They won with Tixier, and Gautier praised Jordi mightily after (and throughout) the event. Who gives a flying f**k about any supposed / real 'beef' between them? I'd say it might just pale behind their shared triumph. And what a Triumph it was! Bit of a 'TMZ'sh' thread you've started, Crush. You generally start far better ones, mate.

Fearo Added a reply to Do you think a Top American will ever go to the GP's?
10/10/2018 11:13am This is the unfortunate truth. You would have to have a guy that has won everything in the US, is set for life, prefers motocross over supercross, and wants to spend at least 2 years travelling the world just for glory. It would be an incredible story but i don't see this ever happening.

It's a simple no. Financially SX contracts are king. It would take a very unique individual to give up the comfort of staying home to travel the world and make less money.

There wouldn't be a happy ending to this. This is business, and business is ruthless. One would think Luongo would smell blood and try to orchestrate luring top American riders to MXGP. It'd be a strategy to shift the balance from AMA motocross to FIM motocross once and for all. The goal wouldn't be to make the fans happy; the objective would be to marginalize American outdoor motocross as a mere national series for riders who aren't good enough for MXGP. (Consider AMA road racing vs. MotoGP; consider that MXGP already aspires to be "MotoGP on dirt.") Then riders would...

A "top American" racer would focus on the US racing series, as the money is great (probably much better than GPs), racing talent is not currently as deep as GPs, and it would be easier not racing in a different continent each race, etc. . Its a win/ win.
