If anyone is interested….the “Lowered” Husky platform only gives up 5mm travel in the front and 7mm in the back! The difference is in the actual length of the upper fork tubes (-10MM) and the rejiggered linkage/6mm cap on the shock, The overall travel is roughly 1/4” overall FR/Rear. But it does end up with about a 19mm seat height reduction. Anyway, for what its worth. PaulP

While I agree, the obviously flawed idea with doing this is getting everyone on board. This sport is so fucking bush league that it would never work. These teams think so highly of themselves that ego's would always get in the way. The people at the top running these teams think making a couple hundred grand a year running around fist bumping people makes them cool and important. They are big fish in a very small pond who would rather die in a dried up lake than share information that we as a viewer find interesting and engaging.

Did you do the KYB inserts yourself? Are you still running the suspension at the lower (Husqvarna) height?

I'd imagine if they were a main sponsor more people would know. I don't quite understand why anyone would invest in having a tiny sticker on a bike

Beat me to it.. the fans of the sport don't even know who is sponsoring the teams lol. Whoever comes up with a new effective way to influence people to buy these sponsors products will become rich, but honestly seeing Monster on Elis bike does NOT make me want to buy one.. Pastrana talking bout Black Rifle coffee did make me try it only because it brought awareness that they even existed. I really think the smaller lesser known companies would benefit the most from advertising in moto, but they often do not have the dollars to spend like a...

Full gates huh? Guess DC can't pay the light bill with 5479 other AMATEUR classes that are FULL with people WAITING to be called up if someone can't make it. Your argument is pointless. In fact most of your arguments are so I won't waste my time bud. Make it an exhibition race if you can't fill the gate or tell them to ride a class they are qualified for AKA pro sport. Should absolutely be a time limit or something, Keefer has a pro card from this year. Shouldn't be in a class that a guy spent tons of...

Only thing I question is that Keefer has a current ama pro license, and took a shot at qualifying at a pro national this year. Doesn't seem like he should be able to sign up for a class that isn't pro. I have nothing against him or his son, actually love the story of father/son racing together, but I also think the rules are a little too lenient when it comes to pros/ex-pros racing an age specific non pro class. IMHO the rules should be cleaned up a little and actually give these guys a class to race with competitors...

Not a good interviewer to be sure. However, not many in the sport conduct a good interview. Most give the answer to the question as they ask it! None ask the tough questions because they are worried about upsetting the advertisers/sponsors/riders/manufacturers. This is mostly a fall in-line industry or else.

IMO, Jenny Taft was the best we have seen in that position. Probably due to the fact that she is an actual sports journalist and reporter. It didn't take long for FOX to elevate here to their #1 sideline reporter for college football.

Start making outdoor motocross tracks outdoor motocross again and not outdoor supercross where the risk and skill level is out of reach for 95% of the riding community. Tracks are built for the top 5% a riders and are too intimidating/not fun for a good majority of riders. They end up not staying with it, going to off-road, or just fucking off in the woods or fields as opposed to going to tracks.
