Hell no and I'm not sure if I would laugh uncontrollably or flip out. Probably a combo of both in no specific order. First at the thought I'd even consider that for any reason but also for thinking that's an acceptable thing to ask or demand of an employee for any reason.(One exception, if your missing to much or underperforming bc your hurt or sore that's different) if it were me and I agreed I doubt I'd last 6 months. When I stopped racing everything else fell apart and was depressed. I won't say what you do when you go...

My insurance policy has a clause that they may not cover if injured during competition. The biggest problem I've had is that they always assume it was an auto type accident where my car insurance would be involved and I have to jump through the hoops to demonstrate it was off-road. I work in an office, so I used to get shamed for injuries but they didn't direct me to quit. I did remind them once that adult softball is one of the most injury prone sports and we had an office softball team. Funny thing is, when I've gotten...

if he died today they'd start trying to replace him tomorrow.

They've got a right to ask and you've got the right to say no. You each just have to own and be content with the outcome of your choices.

Just take the raise and don't tell them when you race. What state are you in? It may be a labor law that they can't fire you for your out of work hobbies

On one hand I understand where they are coming from.. but that is a hard no from me. Employers in the States don't ask for your after hour hobbies. Did the company also ask you to not have any alcohol or to cut out unhealthy foods and definitely do not lift heavy weights in the gym in fear of pulled muscles? I'm either riding my bikes or the company insurance will be paying for a psychiatrist and therapy lol. But anyways, just say yes you will take it easy, get the raise, and then keep living your life the way...

But if you were riding a street bike they would probably be A-Okay with that. Stuff like that really pisses me off - it's over reach. When I was in the Army people would sometimes say I shouldn't race, yet at the same time you can have a 21 year old come home from a deployment and buy a CBR 900, complete a two day rider instruction course somehow that's okay. Needless to say, I kept racing. Maybe just don't put your footage on YouTube haha.

"And i have no desire to engage." Yet you engaged by replying to my post, hypocrisy at it's best

Lots of good questions Byke. I don’t have any answers. Maybe that’s why I’m just a vehicle repair man. I put the bolts in the holes and hopefully tighten them up.

I know why you got downvotes, but I'm liking this because we should all support posts that are factually correct and your post is factually correct.

Dems do love hugging criminals, but crime is not a right/left problem. If you have a look here and sort by murder rate, you'll see that Birmingham is the worst and the mayor is a Democrat. However, if you look at the lowest, you'll see Orange, California, which also has a Democrat mayor. That must means that Democrats are amazing?? Of course not, because the macro level problems are not right/left. People in Birmingham are broke as shit and Orange is wealthy. It's that simple. Crime isn't a hobby, it's just what people do when they don't see anything better...

The analogy was clearly about the temporary nature of the "fix" and he did it by bypassing the processes in place for spending. Law enforcement is supposed to be local at the city level, the county level, and the state level. We do it that way because you don't want to pay for policing problems in some city in California and I don't want to pay for policing problems in some city in Georgia. It's not going to bother me to point the finger at Dems, especially when it comes to crime, because their method of trying to hug the...

Its more for the people that are defending Trump's actions when he does something they disliked Democrats doing it. Maybe its just the right leaning media I see that will call out Democrats and praise republicans for the same things. Left leaning media seems to do it less and be more willing to call out their own party. If You agree that its OK for both to have done whatever thing it is. This is not a question for you. I'm not saying that anybody shouldn't reply if they want. Just that my point was meant more for the people...

Pssst… People that have no skin in the game usually have the best perspective. I’m just sayin… And what a dumb comment. Like L2S can single handedly do anything to fix the govt. he has the same power as you. Which is as near to none as you can get.

Yes, 6th place is quite impressive - not. And spare us the excuses. Nobody took him out, he simply continues to make C class mistakes. The 2nd race was just sad. As soon as he had to deal with some real pressure, he looked back constantly until his lack of focus made him crash. Anyone who has actually raced knows that the "Alessi lookback" is the kiss of death.

Malcolm came straight off the boat and put it to those guys in Paris. Can’t help but think he will be a top 5 mainstay right off the bat.
