Welp, back at it again with the Suzukis in arenas. We’ve been able to improve this team every year from an equipment and funding standpoint in almost every aspect, which feels good. I don’t think any team can guarantee results in this sport, but I can control what we offer the riders, and I’m proud of it. Last year the plan was to flood the starting line with 4 riders in each series. Honorable mentions indeed. Martin family has it in their blood, same for the Plessinger's and Carsten's. The Jones' gang with two fast brothers, and then son Justin with Baja wins, an ISDE gold medal, and AMA national point. Tomac senior was the first in the family to capture a Loretta's title. Deegan's father/son legacy looking pretty solid. Even upcoming stars like the Townley's and potentially Reed's can keep the families on the map...

With all the talk of the fastest brothers the last few years, MXDN and the Everts family got me thinking… Who is the fastest father/son combo? have we seen a winning dad who goes on to have a truly competitive son? Doesn’t seem as common as I’d think. Who comes to mind?

I think he got back on the Yamaha 125 in ‘81…forced to, that is…& as I recall…he was PISSED. I think he got on 250s in ‘78 & had no plans of goin’ back to 125s. Yamaha kinda fucked him over on that deal. So…it was 6 years? The bike was an RA125. Works stuff…based on GP rules. They passed over. Coop and Deegs represent the old and new American spirits perfectly. The modern American spirit is to be boisterously selfish, whereas the old American spirit is more about a humble national pride. They're both welcome to do their thing and we're welcome to feel however we feel about it. However, I wish the US and EU series would align their schedules such that the last round of both is the MXON, then there would be full funding and full motivation and we'd get a real showdown.

First time on a Husky, and in open class no less, solid ride Webb, solid ride! Herlings, what a legend, what else can you say seriously. Everts, great job young man, almost looked better on that 450 then you did this regular season on your 250.

Thanks guys; the find was a good pick-me-up. My wife is a quilter and had boxed them up to make them into a quilt for me some day with other old shirts that I did keep track of. I might be able to squeeze into them but they're too ratty to be worn. This is a shirt that I may cherish too much for it to be cut up for adding to a quilt; might put it behind glass instead:

I thought I'd share this "new" find on the chance it might be to the liking of some(one) on Vital. It's troubled me for the last decade that I would have parted with my old T-shirts from the mid-70s, especially considering my penchant for the nostalgic and the retro. I discovered them with zeal this morning in a box in a guest bedroom closet; Christmas has come early this year:
