With all the talk of the fastest brothers the last few years, MXDN and the Everts family got me thinking…
Who is the fastest father/son combo? have we seen a winning dad who goes on to have a truly competitive son? Doesn’t seem as common as I’d think. Who comes to mind?
Harry & Stefan Everts, and it's not even close (14 World Championships between them).

Honorable mentions indeed. Martin family has it in their blood, same for the Plessinger's and Carsten's. The Jones' gang with two fast brothers, and then son Justin with Baja wins, an ISDE gold medal, and AMA national point. Tomac senior was the first in the family to capture a Loretta's title. Deegan's father/son legacy looking pretty solid. Even upcoming stars like the Townley's and potentially Reed's can keep the families on the map...
Fred and Tom Vialle also deserve an honourable mention
Swervin' Mervin and Max Anstie are somewhere on the list. Maybe not near the top but they deserve a mention.
Also, Mickael Pichon's son Zach in representing France on the Trophy Team at the ISDE and although that isn't motocross per se, the kid's gotta be fast on a dirt bike to represent his country at that level.
I would go with The Leok family heritage
First with Tanel Leok and Sebastian Leok - Tanel is age 41 and still could get a point at MXGP's and Sebastian had a breakthrough year at EMX and ADAC
Also Aigar Leok and Lucas Leok could be a fast combo
