My last 3 bikes have been a 2022 KTM 300 XC, 2024 YZ 250x and currently a 2025 Beta 350 RR race edition (4 stroke). I fight for wins in Vet A offroad and still practice moto quite often. I can probably offer some pretty good comparisons between the 3. The KTM 300 is an excellent all around bike minus the suspension. Yep, the bike is still a 300+ 2-stroke. It will have more than enough power.

If it’s anything close to the Ktm300sx/Xc…most of the tuning/ improvements will be within the ECU…they will probably be pretty conservative stock….I look forward to the testing/ reviews of the production bike, the more 2 strokes the better!

So, back to the pipe, I’m sure Pro Curcuit, FMF, and the others are already getting dimensions and getting a pipe ready for this one. Like I say, I think this bike is gonna do well with mods - ecu, pipe, head, etc is gonna unlock this thing.

Everybody says Chase "burned his bridge" with KTM...but did he really? I mean, KTM acknowledged that they were having major issues with the rear suspension, and that was Sextons main concern. Heck, he won races on the KTM when he was under contract. I can easily see KTM courting him to fill Eli's vacancy, even with Coenen coming in for 2027. Eating a little crow might do both the rider and team some good.

That is super cool!! I have to say that even though the numbers are a tie, when I think who "raced Eli the most," I think Kenny is my clear pick for that distinction given how many close battles and championships they fought for. He and Eli have been at the pinnacle together for a long time.

I ran the numbers and 695 different riders matched up with Eli Tomac in SX mains, MX overalls, and SMX overalls over the course of his whole career. Roczen (275), Barcia (275), and Anderson (269) are the three riders with the most races against Tomac. Roczen tied Barcia for the most in Tomac's last ever appearance in Ridgedale last weekend. I built a sortable and searchable table of all 695 riders on my website along with a brief history of Roczen, Anderson, and Barcia's first and last meetings with Tomac. Different situation. What options does marchbanks have? If he trashes the program how many are lining up to give him a factory ride and good salary? Does he have FU money like Chase or Prado already have at this point? Does he have elite speed with only one goal and expectation of winning? Or is 5th the same as 7th for him in all reality more or less. Sexton and Prado it’s win or fail. 2nd-10th are all the same unless it’s winning they lost. How many times has he straight up beat Jett so far, two times - maybe three? Hunter has since made a jump, Prado and Deegan are not getting slower. Coenens and Davies are coming as well. It will be tough for Sexton.
