Anybody else following this intriguing situation with the Freehill brothers, the “team” and the mysterious “James Williams”? Allegedly, twelve (12) new Yamahas were promised….(?) That’s all I really know, I’m sure some of you can inform us more comprehensively…..*Saw it on Facebook….

Weird.....
Threatening to sue? For what? Lying and getting caught? Where does that even get taken up? Civil Court?
I hope Ty, takes that up. It will add to the drama of this guy getting his ass tossed out out on his ass.
Wow! I heard they tried to sign Kevin Sherman too.
I'm willing to bet all privateers have been ghosted by a potential sponsor atleast once.

He also posted that it costs a Privateer $100,000 to race one coast of Supercross 😂
This is why you don't pull your kids out of school to live at a facility
lol what? How is that related?
How naive do you have to be to think someone’s giving you 12 bikes (6 each) as a privateer who’s not consistently making mains or the motos?
In the video the team owner said it would be 100k for suspension or something like that.
Yeah seems like a good deal but it's not totally crazy. Seems like he entertained the offer and got wise to it as soon as things started to not add up.
How would going to public school have taught him to handle the situation better? The kids I went to school with would believe you're recruiting them to race 3 stroke hover bikes on Elon Musk's Moon colony and they'd steal $50 from their mom for the application fee.
Its very plausible, not naive. For some of these life long racing families, this isnt hard to fathom. Maybe not six bikes but one or two. In the 90's there were teams built around top amateurs graduating to the pros and not everyone made the 125 Mains. They were dropped at the end of the season.
Adam Enticknap famously did not make the main event MANY times. Same team: Kyle Chisolm had a string of near misses. Both were fully supported racers. I am sure there are other teams in the past that escape me.
I think Ty was sniffing out the guy pretty quickly.
I went to college late 8 years after finishing high school and graduated this June. I promise you as someone recently on the front lines, high school grads are dumb as a box of rocks. The group projects I had to do with them made me lose faith in our education system. Basic math and reasoning skills are completely gone. Some couldn’t even figure out a basic 5 paragraph essay let alone cite sources. Many relied on ChatGPT to do their work for them. Talking to my teachers it sounds like things plummeted during covid and hasn’t recovered.
I spent over $100k doing an entire AX season, an SX coast plus a west race… on THREE guys. The one rider $100k thing is bananas.
I’m pretty sure it’s a joke…..To get followers which is working!

What prompted you to go back?
What did you study?
I don’t know if you’re referring to the cost of racing a season or the race team Scam they got tied up with?
I’m from the area and I can assure you that this James Williams guy is real and he was always compulsive liar so when this news broke none of it surprised me.
For a sport as small as hours it breeds and astronomical amount of delusional people.
I went back because I was unhappy with my career options of either continuing to work in a factory or going back to driving a delivery truck. I studied business and got my degree in business administration. I have plans to open my own business in the future, I’d just like to work under somebody else and get more experience first before venturing off on my own. It was a bit of an eye opening experience for me going back to school. I was always a C student in high school but as a more mature adult that wanted to prove everyone wrong I was able to buckle down and graduate with straight A’s.

Even then the freewill IG stories are saying they need 75k. Must have some extras niceties tied up in there or trying tl keel bikes fresher?
Idk, the motoworld suzuki guy said last year iirc they had to do very little in motor parts changing and he was using JGR specs 250 motors.
I had an Arenacross team from 2006 until 2024. Usually 4 riders and 4 bikes. I personally never spent more than 5K per season.
Congratulations on your higher education.
Sadly, many post grads are locked into 30K to 60K a year jobs. Educated incompetent. They’re far from critical thinkers. They are blaming the rich for their failures and are jumping on the socialism bandwagon. That bandwagon has foreign influence and funding.
I own two companies and half of a 3rd. Many of my team members are engineers. I can tell you many of today’s graduates are not of the quality of yesteryear. There are good ones, but you have to weed them out.
If you really valued democracy, then you wouldn't be offended by people endorsing socialism. The majority has the power.
By the way, if you pay more you get better employees. Paying under 60k youre getting the bottom of the barrel.
A lot of new grads have an issue where they don’t want to move or they want to work from home immediately. I graduated in 2018 & been working for the same company ever since, 3M. I went to Minnesota & work from the HQ every day then eventually half time & now I’m full remote. I def make more than 30-60k. My bonuses can hit at least the min of that range, if my account is up! I have a flexible work schedule too so I can go ride any day. My college friends are always getting new jobs & think the grass is greener on the other side. It rarely works out then they gotta get another new job.
Another issue is people go to some pollock college to get a degree in arts & crafts with no plan in what their job is gonna be. College is a stepping stone but you gotta have a plan for transitioning into the workplace. Not just getting on indeed. Com like you’re applying to be a dishwasher.
How is that possible. Bikes are over 5K
