I personally think it was more Deegan accepting 3rd and backing it down. I think he worked hard to hold him off that long. If Hunter was that much faster all race the move would have been made much faster.

I'm 20 min from the gates at Hangtown, 16-18 if I hit all green lights. Haven't been since '22, and that was only to see Cairoli in person, don't intend to go back. My couch has a better climate, better viewing on Peacock, and all the beer I can drink for under $20 just 10 steps away.

2006 Yamaha yz450f. Was unridden last year when I bought it, have pics of it in new condition. Yes you can get a newer bike for the price but this bike is in incredible shape with awesome period mods and new modern additions as well. It runs and rides amazing super smooth and predictable. Maybe 10 hours on it since new now. White bros full exhaust Evo suspension front and rear full set up for 220 vet moto New tires due to age of originals Luxon 22.5 mm clamps with their nexus bar mounts $1200 for clamps and mounts transforms...

I thought so too but this is not the case! The 250F models were kind of jointly developed.. Suzuki did in fact design the engines, and Kawasaki provided the frames and (most of) the plastic. https://pulpmx.com/2018/10/03/classic-steel-132-2004-kxf-rmz-250/

They most definitely co-developed the '04-05 250F. Suzuki developed the engine, Kawi the chassis -- and the bike was built by Kawi. I recall there was some puzzlement from folks at the time about the respective roles, as Kawi was known for making bikes with ripping engines but slow handling, and Suzuki had great handling, but underpowered bikes. It just seemed reversed from what everyone would want in a Kawi/Zook partnership.

I’m 28, my main bike is a YZ450 but I always have kept a YZ250 and KDX200 in the garage. Wish the younger kids growing up in their teens would learn to appreciate just how fun two strokes can be. It’s a lost art in today’s electric and 4T world.

Same. I’ve never been a great rider, I’ve had a few injuries, I’ve lost good women and friends, spent way too much money, all part of a 50+ year obsession with moto. Started riding /racing BMX in 1972 and it’s progressed from there. At 61 and still riding/racing occasionally, and I don’t know what I’ll do whenever riding isn’t a part of my life anymore. It’s not for everyone, but I have no regrets.

Like has there been any studies proving we can be addicted to it? I just turned 56, I dont race much anymore but I do still ride some. There have been times where I have went a year without riding but there has to be a bike in the garage or the world will end.
