Either Ktm or Honda
Sounds like he's already signed too
Yup. Sounds that way.
Quad Lock would be an actual bummer IMO…if he had trouble with set up on a team with massive resources idk man
My $$ On KTM , and that's a good thing , dude was a beast on that bike
The Shop
Luxon 4-Post Bar Mounts
$189.95 - $239.95
DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
Sometimes massive resources isn't the benefit everyone thinks it is for a guy that is always searching...
I like the young lady here, she seems intelligent and informed.
Maybe?
Yea, Quad Lock seems like a stupid idea. New Honda this year so limited parts and new development. If Jett and Hunter are fighting Sexton for a championship and there are only 4 factory transmissions, does anyone really think that Honda isn't going to have Jett and Hunter with a spare for each? Is Honda really going to share all the secrets and give Chase an equal bike? If he's second place behind Jett or third behind them both, isn't he going to blame the bike for not getting equal treatment?
It just seems so setup for failure from the start. I cannot see it succeeding. Even if he somehow were to get equal treatment, he's going to think he's not unless he's beating Jett and Hunter.
It would look better for Honda to have Chase win on a Quadlock Honda..
I hear Bobby J’s Yamaha. Credible source. 😎🤣
That was a good interview, I just wish there wasn't nearly as many cuts during the video. That made it not flow, and almost seem unnatural. I hope that he goes back to KTM, he did some insane stuff on that bike like 40th to 1st and he won a title on it, so was it really that bad, you know? I also think they had really good chemistry, I feel like they were falling in love kind of. I hope she puts out more interviews like this, but with much less cuts and let everything flow naturally.
I believe this is the daughter of Anthony Paggio so probably an Oakley setup.
I think KTM carries the highest possibility.
With Tomac and the cowboy out, Lucas injured, that leaves only Prado.
They need to have another rider in the event Prado and / or Lucas are out with injuries.
With Tomac and the cowboy out, they have budget to hire Chase.
My guess is the way the contract will be structured, it'll be a low gamble for KTM and a good possibility of a high payoff if Chase competes at a high level.
And as for Chase, He really needs to be on factory equipment, a team that has a big budget.
KTM would be the most logical scenario.
its redbull ktm 1000%
Dang, my hunch was way off. So Honda or KTM then - gotta be Honda. Gotta be the Honda the way that thing has looked with the Law Firm and Herlings. Can’t imagine he breaks up with Monster again.
Something we’ve seen him on before; talking about the colour of the front fender at A1. So Red, orange or blue.
But I thought Chase’s emphasis about people and the team, rather than the bike, may be telling.
Considering that not much has changed personnel wise at KTM, would seem to make that choice unlikely?
Just needs b roll over the cuts and some audio dissolves.
I agree.
When he was talking about surrounding himself with people who are in his corner you immediately think about Kawasaki, however that can so easily be applied to KTM too.
He wasn’t happy at KTM when you go back and look at stuff from ‘24 & early ‘25.
And he had probably signed with Kawasaki before he started going well on the KTM.
I vote Red. However I’m not convinced that’s a great move. If he’s in contention for a championship and battling with the Bros, how much help are HRC going to give him?
Maybe they want 1.2.3 ?🤷♀️ or maybe they’ll be happy for Chase to stick another red bike in the top 5 at very little cost to them?🤷♀️
Pit Row
all the downnvotes , youll see
Would it be crazy for him to do a full Chad Reed and start his own team? Listening to that interview, could it be a CS4 Team KTM? He seems to be hard to work with and doesn't seem to get on with team managers. Maybe he wants to be his own boss?
Well my vote is for red and it’s downvoted too. Welcome to the asylum.
One thing is for sure, the dude is scrambled when he thinks set up is off and at this point he has 8 weeks to get his set up absolutely dialed…and hasn’t even ridden the bike yet.
Gnarly.
Remember he grew up riding blue... Just saying
I made a thread saying "Redbull Ktm was the correct answer" and it got quickly deleted. Not even moved to the dumbgeon
Any word from lewis? I hate to think of the deep dark depression he’s in after watching the flirting going on in that interview.
JK of course, I thought she did a great job. Much better than most of the click bait “iPhone journalists’ out there.
🤣🤣That’s exactly what I thought when I was watching that! I bet Lewis is raging that she got the car ride and not him!🤣🤣
He split from Monster. Quad Lock just doesn't sound doable based on how full that team is already. Listen to Michael Mosiman's interview of how much it took just to add him to the team. I respect those guys but I don't see them having the resources to take on such a high profile rider at such a last minute. We haven't seen him on a Suzuki before, which leaves KTM. That's honestly the best fit for both Chase and the team for many reasons others have stated.
Chase back to KTM. Risky, but has the most potential.
Interesting that is the first video that girl has posted and it's a brand new channel. I think she did great, but random he chose to do an interview with her. It will definitely get views on video #1 though.
Frankly, I was hoping for Chase to sign with QuadLock because of his speed on the Honda years ago...but I totally agree with your reasoning with HRC's possibly showing favoritism for the Lawrences on special parts, "secret setups" and the like. But...isn't there a strong possibility that Suzuki would do similar things with Roczen, their SX Champion returning for 2027? I have a feeling they wouldn't necessarily want to see Sexton have the same advantages their lead rider does in their quest for a repeat title. KTM at least would have three potential Championship caliber riders on the 450's if they signed Sexton...so keeping the "good stuff" close to the vest wouldn't be an issue.
All of that could be BS...but it's a thought.
Darren indirectly calls the shots at Honda—he owns both of HRC’s primary assets. He isn’t going to let an animal like Chase run through his jungle… Kind of like super agent Jimmy Sexton in football. He doesn’t control a team—-but through his clients (all the best players/coaches) contracts, he wields considerable power over who goes where. I don’t see any chance for a red fender. Chase on a KTM is going to be a handful for the field.
