Yeah, they knew it, both reacted.... but, they know they cannot in front of the cameras!

I want the 327 to be good soo bad, the hype has been crazy and it looks sick! But, I think it's gonna be a pos. It sounds like shit in all the videos and seems slow. Plus it's heavy. I hope I'm wrong. Looks like Kawi still has some work to do and they're pushing dates back...

For riders looking for an easy to ride bike it will be great. For anyone looking for a fire breathing monster will be sorely disappointed imo.

With an ECU, efi, tps, and electronic powervalve, the timing and mapping are all adjustable to tune however mellow or aggressive a rider desires.

Time will tell. Just a gut feeling.

The Euro price is almost 30% more than the US version? When I converted Euros to USD it came out to $11,648. Are they required to give OTD pricing or something?

Backfire?

Sounded like a ( Bloody Loud ) 'Clack' of the E Start mechanism engaging, to me.

I hear all sorts of weirdness from varying bikes with regards to starter mechanisms, and a couple of mine, their starting noises vary from start to start. And well, my POS E start on my CRE, well, that can deliver some frightening noises - I use it as little as I can - Panthera Products : Caveat Emptor!

I've few mates waiting on their 327s ( I've no idea when they get to OZ ) - I hope to get a ride the day they get them.

This would be my first new bike purchase since I've been alive. I'm stoked.. but hear a lot about add on fees, bend -over fees, etc.. if the mx version is selling around at 9100, what should I realistically look at as far as dealer funny money added on?

Biggest difference is if you pay sales tax or not. $800 freight, $400 assembly, $200 bullshit “document” fee, $900 sales tax.

+$2k in fees real quick if you’re in one of many states with sales tax.

Hey mate, just wondering where you found that profile picture?

I don’t care but, that’s my unfinished “toon” and I never uploaded it without the flag on the helmet I don’t think?

Sorry for the thread hijack.

You should do more art stuff. Reminds me of Curt Evans stuff but a modern twist. I gave you a follow on IG.

Will dealers let you assemble it yourself? They never do it right (grease linkages etc)

no. Liability reasons I’d guess.

If you have a really good relationship with a dealer they might let you take it in the crate but it’s very uncommon.

Shouldn't the mfg make sure they grease such points (steering head even) at the factory?  The dealer doesn't connect the linkage as far as I remember.  Maybe if a good PDI person did all these things the dealer would pass on an even higher set up charge.  Maybe some buyers would pay for that, most won't.

A dealer isn't allowed to deliver a unit to a customer in a crate for liability reasons.  If they do it, they are risking their franchise, so they must really trust/like you!

Lots of places will ship a bike in create direct. I've bought a couple from babbits that way.  I have zero hookup or relationship with them.

They will, but they first uncrate it, do the PDI, then recrate and ship to you.  Or at least, that is what they are supposed to do in those situations.  I've done it that way at a dealership before.

If not, BIG issues with the OEM.

came across this on Kawasaki’s Facebook, this is their social media page for Japan so take with a grain of salt, but definitely eyebrow raising IMG 6938 3.jpeg?VersionId=p

It specifically says KX327X does not mention the KX327 moto version.

Yes the X which is highly more sought after than the moto version, maybe not in Japan, but definitely in the United States, hence that is Kawasaki Japan’s Social Media page, and nothing has been brought to light on their “kawasakiusa” social media pages, I will take with a major grain of salt

It only mentions the X because Kawi is only offering the X as a JDM model in Japan.  They are not selling the MX version in Japan, at least in 2027.

" Eyebrow Raising "

I think such a delay in a markets availablity of these bikes is  probably is down to demand overall for the Bike (s) .

Smaller markets, will get bumped back, to get (more) supply to bigger markets, at least initially.

So, to fill as much  / early as possible,  say, the US Markets demand , is , I suspect, the reason for a few markets waiting an extra few weeks / months for Their Bikes.

We can all see the people that have got jack of waiting on the bikes, we've had a few here say they have bought existing 2ts due to the time from announcement to availability - Kawasaki USA would be wanting to Not extend that list of riders that have asked for their deposits ( if they made them ) back / cancel their order.

I just checked with estimates of their being available in OZ - it's said to be  " 1st Quarter of 2027 " - that's a 3 month spread.  Many Dealers are saying January, but....... Now, OZ's entire MC market is far from many others, but, we have sales that come close to the sales of California - often said to be the World's Biggest Bike Market. Well, the 'Toy' Motorcycle Market, as it is for us.

Without ADR / Rego  /  Plating capability, we here in OZ  will not see Big sales of the KX327X .

It's just how it is in OZ.

Rego / Plating, when it's achieved - and Kawi OZ can use a (couple) of companies  ( eg : my old CRE is Not a Honda by the compliance plate )  here to do so, without the bikes being spec'd that way from the factory . It's how Kawasaki OZ, could really eat into the KTM Groups 2t Enduro sales here.

Of course,  delays could be for 'other' reasons - A fair few people with other brand 'loyalties', I guess will be leaning towards that theory.

It will be great to ride one of these - I'll rely on Mates that have them on order, to get my fix of a Modern, Japanese 2 Stroke, as I'm out of the new Enduro Bike market for the foreseeable future.  They Should, I hope,  be good!

I searched for a post on the topic without success, forgive me if I overlooked:

Has anyone heard about a planned factory Supermoto format KX327? I installed the Warp9 Supermoto kit and TrueNorthMotos lighting kit on my 2023 Husky TE250. It is a riot to zip around in traffic on a 2t. I see the puzzled look in the eyes of normal motorists as the 2t sound triggers memories of 2t devices in childhood, e.g. dirt bikes, chain saws, motorscooters, etc. But let's face it, the sound of 2t motorcycles in traffic is not common, even in the dirt nowadays the sound is becoming rare. Cops seem puzzled at first, wondering if this is something they need to pull over.

But the TE250 is a convert, I need to convert it back to dirt soon. But I am convinced, I need a full time 2t Supermoto for street. Maybe a KX327SM? I can but hope.

ChunderpotCafe : well, if the KTM Group don't produce such a thing in a 2T, why would you think Kawasaki might do such a thing?

It will be left to owners to do so - just like you've done to your KTM Group 2T.

As to 'normal motorists' reaction to a 2t on the road - I get what you are saying.

I fairly regularly flip a set of MT21s onto my CRE500, and ride into Sydney. It's fully registered / plated, with lights, blinkers and 2 Double Take folding mirrors - all of which is on the bike, only being taken off for the now rare race.

The reactions you get from 'The Public' is somewhat hilarious, at times. When they hear  ( and see) something so different to Everything else, I get a lot of double takes. And. when stuck at the lights for extended periods, some 'observers' very much don't like the bit of smoke the old beast puts out, at idle........... clears up in an instant, once underway, but you can, at times, feel the 'indignation' ........

Though, you can tell who are the Motorcyclists / Dirt Bike riders on the sidewalk / in vehicles, by their reactions to seeing a Dinosaur being ridden on the road. 😁

Yep. I get that when I take my GT550 out
