They forgot to tighten it... plain and simple. As sh274s stated above, it isn't worth it for most skilled/experienced mechanics to go to the races with all these small teams, so they hire whoever wants to do it.

1 day ago Honestly, I'm shocked we don't see more issues like this. The race mechanics get paid shit, work their ass off and have to travel 80% of the time.

Closer to the engine is good for one thing, further away is good for another, helps with atomization and response etc

All these Suzuki die hard’s sound like the guys back in the day saying carbs were better than EFI. I’d much rather ride a EFI bike than carb. Sure does carbs have some advantages to EFI yeah but the cons out weigh the pros. We all sat and watched when he fell and had to sit there and rock his bike back and forth in to neutral then start it and the poor bastard probably had to push a thumb activated hot start like he was on Doug’s Henry’s yz400. 4/3/2026 2:22pm Fellow round head here and I wear a 6D atr3. The best helmet fitment I've found was shoei vfxw in Large but an XL in 6d with thicker cheek pads seems to fit well.

3/31/2026 11:29am I have never had as many problems as my 25 ktm 350. Burned oil at 30 hours, starter motor died at 35 hours. But it is the best bike KTM has ever made.

3/31/2026 11:28am My 25 350 Factory Edition burned oil on warmup at 30 hours. New twisted development piston (made by JE Piston) and no more smoking.

Totally agree, except you forgot about the MXV 450. Just because its a motocrosser, doesn't make it any more accessible. Yup, having to drop the engine out of the hanger frame just to adjust the valves is a pain in the butt. I figured I'd save myself the grief and get the dealer to do it. They quoted $1250 for the project, but only if I pulled the engine myself.

I believe it's an airbrake thing and not so much a helmet thing. Best thing I can recommend is a well fitted helmet that isn't moving down on...
