Is he there to visit Vialle and watch MXGP or could it be something else? 🤔

Maybe Sexton will join Malin in the booth? JT is at Budds so there should be an open seat. That would be cool.

He is friends with tom, Lewis, and even Chase have said probably close to 4 times that Chase is there because he is friends with Tom, he is not there to meet with any teams or anything like that. Random "media" outlets will think he is there to meet with teams about riding for them at some point, bur he is not.

I think its cool he took the time out to go. Hope he enjoys the weekend & yes it would be cool to have him join Malin in the booth for a moto

Maybe Sexton and Kawi will come to a compromise the way RV did for his last year on his contract. Race a Kawasaki in the MXGP class. It'll be a works bike and maybe he will finally find a setup he likes.

That's just speculation of course because we all know he is over there to hold the pitboard for Tom.

Is it bad that you can predict the walty wander nothing burger video before it even happens regarding this?

He was at the Lommel track yesterday, with the Kawasaki factory team HQ just behind the corner he may or may not had a spin on the european works bike ? I don't see hem try on a MXGP season he's to picky on bike setup let alone he has to learn and race all new tracks and a whole new way of living life. He better stays US side and try to get that kawi setup right for him, maybe with some help of the european KRT team....

JM racing is also close to the track in Lommel, does that mean he will be on zx moto in 2027?!

Have said it before, say what you want about him, he clearly loves the sport.

At some point earlier this year vialle was posting pictures hanging out at Chase's house when chase was off somewhere else racing. Seems like they're pretty close.

That’s why it is so frustrating seeing him making questionable decisions and his weird behaviour with teams at least from the outside looking in. He seems just like a really good dude. I still wish him the best.

Lewis said it on the mxgp pod, LVK, and Chase has even mentioned it on his recent q&a/vlog video.

When I saw the title of the thread the first thing that came to mind was RV. Would love to see him on the works KX. I know it will never happen but it’s nice to dream.

I mentioned he was going to the race earlier in the week.  A Ukraine co dragged there feet on a Fri , we had to finish up on Mon. So I bummed around & went to Joliet mx track & watch the riders practice. Some industry guy there said , Chase helicoptered onto sunset ridge track to ride .  It was I between nationals. Everyone says the track has a great flow & it’s close to his house. Probably had to fly to ca. for the buisness end of it & why sit in Chicago traffic. When you want to ride get a helicopter.

I’m blocking anyone who is dumb enough to believe he’s there to shop for a ride.

Please don’t block me but that was my initial thought when he was talking to Lewis about it in his interview from Millville. I’ll trust everyone that says he definitely isn’t. However, it made sense (to me at least)…he wants out of a deal that is going to be nearly impossible to leave and join another team here which adds to the impossibility…repeated struggles when coming back…seemed like a drastic change of scenery could help him.

I’ll trust that literally everyone is saying it is completely ridiculous to think he would race MXGP, but personally I would like to have a top American guy to pull for in a different series.

Impossible to leave? I beg to differ, Jorge Prado accomplished that feat not more than a year ago

Kawasaki will have a different view when it’s the second rider in two years.  One occurrence they can explain as unique circumstances; twice will establish a pattern they won’t want to be part of.

Ultimately they won’t want a rider that doesn’t want to race for them but my speculation is that Kawi won’t roll over as easily as they did for Prado.  It might cost Chase dearly to exit early.

Stop your drama accusations. I,d thing he’s doing everything he can to get ideas to fix what he thinks is wrong.  Probably not another 2+ mil deal out there .  If he can’t get the bike to handle right  . I wouldn’t be surprised if he walked away.  Stick & ball guy walk away from 70+ plus  mil contracts. When they get tired of the buisness end of sports entertainment.

I think it would be cool.

I remember the days of reading Cycle News  about Trampas, Healy, Schmidt, Billy Liles etc.

I think it would be awesome if he raced the MXGP's.....I would pay the subscription price to watch it next year...if that happened...hint hint David Luongo.

I watch a shit ton of 89-95 125 gp,s. 89 the Ktm was a rocket & Americans raced them. A 90 race a 125 had a more wicked topend sound than a newer carb Ktm. 12to 15 k rpm crazy sound.  Crazy trophy chics 95 French raced Tottelli,s 1st win. IMG 5941.png?VersionId=J.STDQ1gftq2 KShcPLE9mY9s1H Jkc

Agreed. This is not in Chase's hands to decide anything and people ignore Kawasaki's side of things. What incentive is there for Kawi to let Chase walk away after no return on the contract? Chase is damaged goods with unknown value to any other team. Different situation than Prado who kept racing but dogged it expecting he could go back to KTM if things didn't work out. He recently said Kawi wouldn't let him make changes he needed while Chase makes endless changes and crashes a lot. Chase has no recently proven success on another team he could return to and be welcomed with open arms even if he can actually ride like he used to. No way Chase could duplicate what Prado has accomplished by switching.
