He is injured this year. I know…rare in the sport of motocross. Did he do better than 5th previously….I don’t remember for sure….
I mean…he’s no mark fineis…
Even acknowledging and responding is a bad look for Chase. I think it says a lot about his mental game. Why does he care at all about what a backmarker thinks?
….and pretty much the same accomplishments
Bad look for both of them. Sexton has to just let that one go....
Nothing about the Fineis interview gave me confidence this is the beginning of a sustained comeback. Shit on basically everyone he talked about, took no ownership for the past failures and basically said everyone should let me do what I want, vague "health issues, " didn't know who his current team manager was.... and I still almost felt bad for him because he still doesn't seem to realize he's being laughed at and not with half of the time.

That's basically what I was trying to say. You just don't give confidence to teams for upcoming possible rides with that tact. I don't care one way or the other about what he said about Sexton or vice versa. But pump the brakes kid. And his whole Club MX rant certainly sounded like two sides to the story. Brandon at club is a confident cocky owner. Who isn't in that position.
So you were a fan of Sexton until he responded to someone saying something he didn't like, and he's the soft little bitch? Okay...
His speech that started with: "If you spend so much time, energy and for privateers also money to it, you better enjoy it. You better quit if you're feeling miserable doing it." was interesting and something that loads of kids should hear. The other stuff is just a guy who is still progressing why things went south wile he was one of the big prospects.
Sexton should be smarter and should be mentally stronger than this. If this brings you of balance, the real world will be a big challenge...
Why did him and club split?
He did his own physical training program, worked too hard and his body went into shut down (if you ask me, his muscles where probably under too much stress, dying and giving toxins into his blood). While he wasn't healthy enough he returned to Club and they said: now you're going to do our physical program. His body collapsed completely and he couldn't hold on to a result even if his life dependent on it. Now 1,5 year later his body seems fine and he still knows how to ride a bike.
If chase rode around in 15th place he wouldn't be tucking the front end either.

Be there.
I’m here for it but Fineis needs to wind it in slightly or he will upset too many industry types if he’s after another team spot.
I’ve said it a lot as well as many others, Chase feeling fragile enough to respond to this tells you everything you need to know about his mindset, he will win races again but will never win another title
Wasn’t that Pulp show 4 1/2 hrs long?!
I'm slower than that, and I still tuck the front!
As much as Id like to see Chase win again, I believe his time has passed.
He will win a moto here or there or a heat race but his ship may have sadly sailed.
I hope Im wrong.
That’s not really how overtraining works. It’s possible he had some type of REDS but rhabdo and the like are singular events for the most part and will put you in the hospital
Nah. If Roczen can do it Chase can. He just needs to find his happy place like Kenny did and that’s proving difficult so far. Chase should try the blue bike.
I reckon Chase was giggling as he wrote that tweet, he will be back on the kawi with a point to prove!

One MAJOR problem - Chase has never had a happy place
Madre of deity, there’s nothing wrong with the green bike. Just cease it! I really wish 4 was on the line but I’m just frustrated AF. The people on here talk incessantly about mx riders being the toughest mother fornicators on earth, that DV and MC rode without ACLs, blah blah blah. Then the Kawasaki is trash, is horrible, unridable, etc., etc.
It’s all just bull excrement. Get on the deity damn bike and prove your worth / earn your paycheck!
446 AM and I haven’t even finished my coffee and I’m all worked up!!!!!!!!!!
He has the skill but he’s already won titles, Kenny figured it out because he had more reasons to- no indoor title until this year. Until Chase has a mind shift and acknowledges no bike is perfect it’s more of the same
Fineis not knowing who the team manager is embarrassing.
Sexton getting upset at a kid running his mouth who is uninvolved and a non factor but working in chases spot makes sense. “He shouldn’t have said anything” - based on what?? Why shouldn’t he make a comment? Who wouldn’t be bitter about that?
Have you not seen Tomac clap back at Steve and Zacko? Anderson respond to people on IG? Forkner arguing in comments etc. these people are humans not robots I’d be upset if I were chase too
If I am ever in need of psychological counseling I know where I'm going .... the Vital moto board . Lot of experts here .
Neither has Roczen according to all the Vital people until last year when he won his title.
I think we've found new Vital member Mark Fineis. Welcome newb
oh, Chase. I do not envy what must be rattling around in his head daily.
This next chapter for him will be the fork in the road. He either pulls a prado and immediately resumes being a badass, or he does the same damn thing again and whines about the bike relegating himself to history books as a snively whiny rider. Will be interesting.
🎯 Vital is the only mx forum where membership includes free medical and legal degrees. It’s really quite a bargain!
He just wants a friend, maybe Chase will come over to eat snacks and ride with him.
