Most logical comment in this entire thread. If MX sports had the ability to take a riders entry fee on site prior to the race, then they have the ability to cut a check to riders on site at the end of the day.
I don't have any side in this argument, but from a LOT of riders I've talked to/interacted with, putting their boots on is hard enough for them to tackle on their own, let alone getting a transit and institution number from their bank.
The riders should be paid electronically. It should be handled at worst, next day DD. Simplest frigging thing on planet earth to do and very easy to set up. If they can keep track of AMA members and their numbers for membership dues, paying DD is a friggin no brainer.
He said conspiracy theorists that think this is being done on purpose. That isn’t everyone on vital or even the people wondering how this happened. The fact you use the term boot licker tells me all I need to know about you.

When a friend of mine made his first national I wanna say he made about $200 per moto , in the 450 class with an OA of 26th. It was 21 or so years ago. Back then they sent checks and his first race was the second week in June . I think it was August by the time a check came. It covered the entry fees , but even if You get everything for free , and have somebody buy Your Lic and pay entry fees , it would have been tough to make money racing unless Your inside the top 10-15 ish . Another friend got a 9th OA in the 250 class one round, and he got $9K between contingency and AMA money from that one finish.
I'm wondering why Keefer didn't just ask one of the people who would know what was going on? Maybe DC is not directly involved in the payout , but it sure seems like he could talk to a few people and find out what was going on. That part seems strange to me, somebody with the access he has, going right to publicly talking about it before finding out what the official response or what the issue may be.Like some have said, could be a form that wasn't filled out, or some simple issue. Bank policy?
Honda pays contingency back to 40th in both classes 31-40 get $150, 21-30 get $200 . So Keefer should get some Honda money on top of whatever the AMA purse is. Honda pays the same from 7th-40th for both classes and only the top 6 get paid more for the same finish in the 450 class than the 250 class. I thought that was an interesting cutoff point for when the pay changes.
Now that it is public, perhaps it will bring more attention to the pay the riders get and do something to help boost the amount a bit.
I looked around the MX sports rider site and pasted it below. It is all the info I found on pro purse on that site for 2026.
Congratulations! You earned some dough. Here is how you get paid:
There is one way to get paid: Direct Deposit into your bank account, so log onto your Rider Profile and complete the necessary information.
Make sure that you correctly submit the necessary IRS forms as well. If you are operating as a company and want to get paid through your company, make sure the IRS form is completed with the information for your company, and that you use the FEIN for your company, and not your own SSN.
We issue purse payroll every two weeks. The first payroll this season will include the first two rounds. Thereafter, payroll will be issued every other Friday.
Did you listen to the clip?
And that isn't news worthy? I don't understand the slew of media types we have in this sport and it takes a teenage participant of the sport to blow the whistle on promoters or whomever taking more than 7 weeks to pay them. Anyone think Walmart or McDonalds could skip paying people 7 weeks and it would go unreported? Thanks for the "We've known all along" insight ML. Maybe it is no big deal making the riders wait to get purse money when entry fees are absolutely up front. Unreal.
I stand corrected.
And also agree with the majority that this should not ever be an issue.
I bet Michael would report that WSX, or a riders team?....didn't pay said rider if that rider would go on the record (put his name out there).
I bet Michael doesn't want to report, "A rider who wishes to remain anonymous..."
Pulpmx said one time that he would report all kinds of stuff but riders won't go on record.
holy shit. the writing style and background of some of the photos actually sorta check out. mental
there's a tell-tale giveaway that demonstrates your claim is potentially accurate, but i'm not going to post it here. DM me if you're curious.
in the meantime, nothing stopping you from posting a screenshot.
this happened in NASA west coast auto racing where THE senior official was harassing a woman through burner accounts after the official got called out for issuing predatory penalties. caused a bit of a stir.

"no-one has gotten paid"
Hard to read that wrong..... Then you tell your audience to 'read it wrong'....
Maybe if you or your son threw in a 'fuck'n' ... we'd get it...
I.E. "no-one fuck'n got paid yet". ;-)
Keefer is the Craig Kilborn character in 'Old School"....or should I say 'Fuck'n Craig Kilborn...?
Total tool....
I like how you weaved pea-Cock back in!!!
Look it! Keefer I'll take care of this. send me your son's info:
Bank name
Account Number
Routing Number
DOB
and social security number
I wonder if the people in charge of this are getting paid? I think it's better than 50/50 that they get paid on time...everytime... and their paychecks are direct deposit. But...the ones that make them the money, the riders, just can't get paid in a reasonable manner. Seems like there sb a solution to this, but I am baffled how it would be.
First time I ever rode local pro race 40 years ago I made $ 40 cash that night. I was more then overjoyed lol.
What Keefer said on the pod, and what he posted are two way different versions. He got a talking to.

Yes, Pro Racing MX Sports has a long-term lease agreement with DMG to operate AMA Pro motorcross.
sounds like the payouts may be done on the 1st and 15th like tons of businesses do it.
All I can say, is holy crap. I just listened to the podcast, and read how he called everyone conspiracists. Wow! Umm, as a matter of fact, when he thought it was AMA, he sure sounded like a conspiracist. Once we all found out it isn't the AMA, umm, just wow. That's all I have to say. It now seems like "fix this shit," was given.
I still haven't seen confirmation on if the riders that weren't paid have properly filled out tax documents and bank info submitted. We really know nothing about root cause, so in my opinion attributing blame to any party is premature.
The riders are all subcontractor performers not employees with taxes taken out of every paycheck. With a contract working for a team getting a pay check would be different
DC should change his troll account from @motocrossstickers to @PalmUpCoombs unless Carrie already took it.
I just heard this in passing, like two weeks ago, and didn't have much to go off of other than on-side's take.
Don't get me wrong, I am not a fan of the "I heard something but can't tell you about it" style of things. I feel like I'm good 98% of the time at just being blunt and not doing that.
I also don't like spreading misinformation without double-checking if I'm actually going to report on something, officially. In the case right now, Kris just blurted a bit on his pod and maybe didn't have all the facts straight, so now it's a shit show that's coming back on him.
OK then so who was the rider that took over a year to get paid from the WSX series? and why did it take them so long to get the money?
I am waiting for it to be about Loretta Lynns racers not getting paid
Add the fact they've all been 'homeschooled' and you have a real problem...
Queefer
imagine if DMG / MXS sold the rights to outdoors to a certain family that owns / owned a lot of these really big oval places. & that is why this is happening, revisions to media accreditation, delay for title / naming partner releases, etc.
that'd be wild.
