What a bummer. I hope he’s back to 100% whenever that may be. He’s one of the very few who can actually match Jett on his best days.

Hmmmm... It took him 5 days to figure out he had a torn ACL? Seems like Monday at the latest he would have had that checked out.

Wonder if it's just an excuse so he doesn't have to finish the season?

Was just going to say this. Chase likely has some 3rd party management software that automatically manages his social media engagements.

There are tools for it... like Replient AI or ManyChat. I'm guessing it's set to any comment that would express sympathy or something, or it just auto-likes a random number of comments. Him liking random non-verified accounts for simple emojis or liking the "should of never left KTM" comments seem to point to automations.

It was odd to me that he went home last week instead of straight to an MRI with one of the many fantastic knee specialists within an hour of Thunder Valley.

Chase would be wise to use this summer to figure out how to get past this “more to prove” shit if he wants to perform at his highest level.

Prado and Sexton's performance on that bike and that comment from Dan Fahie paint a pretty good picture of what it's like at Kawi. Plus all the comments from previous team riders.. That organization seems toxic as hell. They absolutely need to clean house and start from scratch or they will likely never get a top talent on their bike again. What elite talent would sign up for that program after seeing these Prado and Sexton saga's?

On the other side of that.. Sexton made his bed by signing a 3 year deal (wtf??) while watching Prado tank on that bike all year. I can't understand why he would sign such a long contract with his track record. He should be on 1yr deals with extension clauses. He probably won't have a choice on that now after the KTM and soon to be Kawi breakups.

Don't forget the engine builder who was very unprofessional on Jorge his Instagram. If this isn't proof of the fact that they need to clean house from TOP to BOTTOM, then nothing is! If they want to keep Sexton they really need to start firing people.

Why is it odd?

For what is an orthopedic injury at a flyaway event, the normal course of action is to stabilize and get the rider home for further evaluation. Any of these riders have their own vetted orthopedic team.   Initial consult, imaging, follow up consult, pt, or surgery are all easier to plan and carry out near home.

After the crash, he picked up the bike and rode back to the pits.  The injury was not an obvious fracture that required immediate setting or immobilization with a casting or splinting.   No risk to limb or life,  no need for immediate transport a to trauma center.

HeadChase out for the rest of the season... stick a fork in him, he's done... oh yes he'll race again, but will likely be a 5-15th place guy... wish he would just retire now along with et3... his 2026 has been one absolute chit show... don't see that changing on another color bike either...

HeadChase is diabolical 😭

he limped off the track and I was thinking knee or hip. he was probably still feeling adrenaline from the rush from the second he realized he was getting off the bike now

more likely back on the 2027 Kawi and erasing memory of frustration he went through trying to get his comfortable feel for this year's bike. He could come back with a huge chip on his shoulder and feeling something to prove to focus him.

I think it took a few days to confirm Jett’s acl. There is generally a lot of swelling involved in that injury and they often wait for it to go down before getting a good diagnosis.

Back to Kawi is the most logical, even contractual I believe… but a man can still dream.

Gotta agree, so many people have made similar comments either implying or stating outright that Kawi don't have their shit straight.

They should hand the lot off to Mitch and co.

I'm not clued up on the current bikes, loads of amateurs and vets love the newer KX's right? Is this contributing to them not being good for the fastest pros out there?

With the free reign on engine, box, suspension, linkage, clamps, wheels, etc, changes and being allowed to brace the frame to top it off, I assumed it wasn't relevant, but most of you folks are smarter than me so figured I'd ask?

Agree with others elsewhere that Chase seems to have an issue with setting a bike up also, needs to learn what bikes physically can and can't do, it's all a compromise isn't it, can't have it all in all directions.

How about Chase simply made a big boy decision to wait a few days to see how his knee felt and then decided he should get an MRI? It's really nobodies business but his own and he doesn't owe anybody an explanation.

If chase really didn't know until Thursday it's only because he chose not to go get it imaged until Thursday. There was no reason for urgency so not that big of a deal if so.

The simple fact that there is a new ‘27 coming out might be the only thing that salvages this mess…

Liking comments is a way some people (or their social media manager) feel they will get better engagement. Chase probably doesn't even know.
