Eli said that he accidently hit the rear brake that cause his crash in Houston this year.  

It's possible he locked up the brake, but it's also possible the motor seized when hot and started after the crash. Motors can heat seize and restart.

What will be Chase's status for tomorrow, was that a bell ringer and how about other bodily damage?

I can't really tell if he brake taped or not. If that POS quit mid air, he'd better not ghost ride it, but set it on fire and go somewhere else....

Whys this happen to Chase only? I get bike looked like it failed but is he doing something different to everyone else? He had bazaar gets off on the KTM aswell. AP, RJ, Mookie, Barcia didn't have bike failures. GM isn't having weird gets offs. JA didn't have bike any bike failures from what I can remember? Could be wrong though.

Seems like that's what happened. You see his brake foot move, front end drop, panic rev motion, nothing, slam. If he rode the bike to the pits then it seems like rider error rather than the bike just cutting out. I've had a beer and this is all purely specula-pulled out of my ass.

I'm wondering the same thing.  Either he accidentally hit the rear brake or misjudged the timing of his brake tap (or how hard/long he hit the pedal). It's either that or the motor seized.  Either way, tough hit.  I truly feel bad for the guy (and anyone who has a hard get-off like this).

I wouldn’t have moved and they could have placed a crucifix on the side of the track with a slam like that.

I think he hit the brake without having the clutch engaged and stalled the motor. If the motor seized then he wouldn't have rode the bike back, and likely would have felt the motor tightening up before he hit that jump. If the bike is getting tight on press day you would expect him to just pull off rather than continue to push and launch what is probably the biggest jump on the track.

No one wants to see chase hurt or taking diggers, regardless of his recent antics. If they do, then they aren't really fans of the sport because the sport is better with him racing. 

Seized motor will usually still sputter for a few before completely dying and will almost never start back up and be able to ride any distance.   Almost seemed like it stalled for some reason.  Either way, dude is a bad dude to just hop up from that.  Insane.

Making jokes about a dude that just landed straight on his neck from 25 feet in the air is gross. Whatever you feel about him or how shitty the bike is making a joke about that crash shows you have no place in this sport. Go follow monster trucks or bass fishing. 

If the bike died on him, mid-air that's definitely a wrap.

I get the feeling the Kawi is a solid bike for decent riders, but the upper echelon seem to not be able to find what’s needed to ride at the top.  I thought last year Prado was maybe just being a bit of a baby, but Chase sure seems to be solidifying Prado’s point from last year.  I’ll bet Prado it thinking “Poor bastard” about Chase as he knows his pain.
