Have to believe if it wasn't that bad, just let the bike fall, etc, that someone would have said so by now. And if his dad involved himself in any way at all that wasn't trying to control his kid, then he's gotta go. Firing or suspending chase is far more complicated but telling dad to turn in the headset and never come back should be immediate if he was involved at all. What's chase going to do about it? Get mad and quit?

Track talkers mentioned his dad had words with Garrett also.

Nothing is more annoying than a parent who can't let their kids grow up.

sighted at Fox Raceway today.  Kawasaki apparently hired a new test rider.

Chase should not throw the bike down and his a head case but Kawi obviously has their own issues.

Chase can't set up a bike. He's nuts. His dad is nuts.

I have not read this entire thread but has anyone mentioned Chase dad and the effect if any he has on Chase and these situations. I don't know them but ive seen riders in the past have parents baby them along and hold there hand so to speak and speak out on stuff concerning there child. Again I don't know either of them just putting this out there to see where it lands . Could be time to split off to himself and just figure out that bike and ride it .Im a chase fan but I don't like anyone ghosting a bike in the pits.

Yes, it was mentioned how Keir isnt a problem but the rumor persists because of Vitalmx.

Then some arguing that got quiet when noone had any examples of what Chase' Dad did to be a problem.

watched the vital post race show.

ML and Lew talked about the whole "ghost ride" thing for 10 mins. Both of them allude to the fact that they have heard EXACTLY what happened. Guess what they never tell the viewer? Why not just fill us in on what you heard/saw? Obviously your customers (this board) are talking about it...why not spill it?

I was just getting ready to post the same thing.

All these talking heads know someone who saw the whole thing go down and they know a lot of details....but none of them will report it. I usually get it, that they have to be wary of keeping their relationships with the teams on good standing, but this one kind of irritates we.

Adam Entiknap mentioned Keir got involved, going after Marchbanks after Garret went at Chase. What does all this mean? Did Garret just stick a finger in Chases chest, punch him? Lots of yelling?

Did Chase actually ghost ride his bike or just get off and let it fall over?

If Keir went at Garret 86 him from the pits.  In my mind moto dads and moms are not part of the team.

If Chase nearly hit Garrett with his bike during his little huff, and Keir decided Garret was the one who needed his behavior adjusted rather than...

But you can teach self control.

And accountability.

It's disgraceful that most of the moto 'media' don't actually report anything. It's completely unacceptable. As mentioned earlier, they all say they know what happened, that someone told them 'exactly' what happened and yet never tell the public. Are they 'bros' or media? Clearly bros. The exception in this particular case is Weege. He said on the Racer X podcast that he heard it wasn't a ghostride so much as a not putting the bike on the stand and letting it drop to the ground.

As for Chase's dad. He was lucky Marchbanks didn't drop him...

That’s not unrealistic though.. Chase could get 5th all day on the Kawi in his sleep..

The difference between 5th and 1st is usually half a second a lap.. those minute differences are the difference. Chase is a typically a good starter, we haven’t seen A green bike out front from the gate since.. shit idk, Eli was a bad starter on Kawi too.

My point is that’s the bike is amazing yes, but to get that extra half second, something is lacking.. and when Chase has that feeling (whatever it is) he DOES Have the speed to run with Jett..

-and when Chase has that feeling(whatever it is)

That's the problem right there. HE doesn't even know what it is. It's just a "feeling". It's mostly in his head. He's got to change his attitude, accept the bike and learn to keep it off the ground. He showed he can go faster if he needs to. He dropped his lap time 2s instantly when Marchbanks was behind him. Nothing changed on the bike mid race. He just decided to go faster.

Absolutely.

I'm sure Keir was just going over to Garret to invite him to bible study 🙄

Damn Sexton is a meme currently. Insta mx content literaly flooded with content creators making fun of him. Tucking the front end became "to sexton". I dunno.. I wonder how he himself feels about that. Does he think its funny? Does he care? Does it make him feel angry and/or sad? He comes across as pretty vain (dunno if its the right translation, I mean the german word "eitel"), so I think he isnt careless on what goes around about him in social media. Slowly but surely I think it goes a bit too far at this point. Although im one of em making fun of him lol

I helped an Amish family get their buggy out of a ditch this morning . After getting it back on the road and making some small talk . The father told me he was making the turn to head back home and he "sextoned the front end and landed in the ditch. "

This post deserves way more credit and acknowledgement. Every time I think of it I laugh..

Go to page 16 and give Austin some props.....

So freaking funny... Thanks Austin..

I play guitar.

I keep buying guitars and amps thinking the next one will make me Gilmore or EVH ....

Maybe there is still that magic one out there ...?

For a while I had done that with motorcycles.  Hmm, never did get as good as DeCoster.

Face it, at some point you've just got to work on yourself.  But that's hard.

Oh come on, I like Weege, he’s great but hes also very much ‘broto media’. Just view one episode of the Weege show.

I don't think it's a big question at all.

It's just not sustainable to continue a relationship that is heading to the abyss like it is with Chase and the team. Nobody is a winner in a scenario where Chase is "forced" to stay, everybody would be miserable and Kawasaki would be wasting millions of dollars in salary expenses.

They will part ways like with Prado. It's the least shitty outcome out of many shitty outcomes (i assume nobody thinks they can turn this around anymore).

not a chance. I bet Kawi draws a red line here instead and tells Chase you're under contract to race- get your ass out there and race- otherwise stay home and pout, but without paychecks and see you in court. This headcase rider can't always have the upper hand to dictate to his employers- it's not the way employment works in the real world- nor should it here.

If they get rid of the team management it will solve 75% of the issues….They can’t afford another top rider walking from the team as they will lose the rest of their credibility within the racing community….I personally don’t think Chase will walk if they make the right moves to get better people in leadership positions….If they don’t make any changes then nobody in the top tier will ride for them and they will only attract riders that nobody else wants…

ever hear the term "tail wagging the dog"? that's what you are advocating for- the rider having all the power and blame everything on management. If Kawi doesn't make an example out of Chase and force him to honor this contract- it will spread like a disease to all the other teams as well with expectations that the rider will always drive changes in organizations, or they can just ignore the contract they signed and still cash out.

I’m not suggesting that Chase is giving them an ultimatum at all and I doubt he is…Just saying if nothing changes it will not get better and these morans have already had one top tier rider walk because of their inability to get the bike where it needs to be and to have another one do the same will put this team in a position that nobody will want to ride for them

I didn't say you did. You suggested Changing MANAGEMENT to resolve a RIDER problem on the team for a 2nd year in a row. A contract is a contract is a contract. BOTH parties willing agreed to this contract with their own obligations spelled out. Kawi would be totally within their rights to make Chase honor his obligation under contract here.
